Honestly, it was a thrill to see The Skins handle business the way they did. Especially on defense. Major secondary improvement from last year. A healthy Jordan Reed only makes us more dynamic. However, there is always room for improvement and today our WR’s were pretty quiet. Solid conversions/completions but still dry. Also a shutout would have really sealed the deal performance wise. They were poise for it but let up a little bit I feel towards the end of the third quarter. If Redskins wanna really be considered as contenders we gotta impose our will all four quarters. Oh yeah, & shout out to the O-Line! Hogs 2.0 when healthy lookin vicious! Great win team. Glad Gruden got his 1st season opening win. #HTTR

exactly my thoughts after the game as well. it was obviously very exiting to see the Skins do so well but the lack of production at receiver will probably hurt us when going up against more elite opponents especially after seeing that we had a much more difficult time running the ball in the second half after AZ was able to make some adjustments

Perfectly stated. I know when you're up 24-0 with under 6:00 left you can't play recklessly, but the Skins still need to stay dominant and not make stupid mistakes like fumbling what should have been an amazing play for AD. Still, a W is a W and it was a pretty one overall. Just needs some tweaking in a couple areas. HTTR!

I believe the cohesion between Smith and his WR’s will develop with each and every game rep. The leadership is there from the QB position which is a major factor. Skins just need to continue to develop and maintain an eagerness on the field that will sustain throughout the game. Mental just as important as the physical, if not more. #HTTR

+Keith Jennings Idk bout top 10, honestly pure talent wise hes not as good as Cousins but I think hes a better fit for the redskins than Cousins was. Poor oline play has always been an issue for the Skins and people forget or underestimate Smiths ability to run the ball. Smiths a good probably top 10-20 qb range but hes never going to be the guy that wins the superbowl, he just doesn't have the arm talent and the skins don't have nearly a good enough defense to carry it. We saw it last year in KC when the defense doesn't show up Smith isn't going to be able to carry a game.

you are referring to Fantasy metrics. Smith is an 88-92 OVR QB. Cousins is an 86-90. Cousins will make big plays, but that doesn't mean he is the better QB; yes probably in Fantasy, but in 2018s NFL: Accuracy, Mobility, Play-Action, fewer Interceptions, High Completion Percentage, and reading defenses makes you the better QB. Alex Smith has more wins. For christs sake there are "EXPERTS" who said Jimmy G was a better QB. my top is 1. AR 11 2. TB12 3. Wentz 4. Brees 5. Rivers 6. AS11.

Redskins offense is sooooo much better when Reed and Thompson are healthy. If we can get both of them to have a decent year health wise this offense can be very dangerous all year long. Smith will only get better as he gets more comfortable with Grudens system. If the Defense can keep playing the way they did today theres no reason they can't go 10-6/11-5. HTTR
