Dupes with suit wearing should be able to wear pajamas without a penalty. You could give a few dupes that, and then you really wouldn't need an 8th dreamer. Might not even need seven.

Can you rotate the radbolt collector upwards and let is shoot down to the left? It should have the same collection speed and the duplicates cant get in the way.

You can bounce it around, but the further it travels you get a loss to the number of rads, so you want to be as direct and close as reasonable.
