Hi. Some infrared led's are visible to the eye and some are not. So its completely normal for them to 'glow' or 'not glow' during night. It depends on the type of infrared led used and the kind video processing the camera supports. As long as you are getting good cabin footage at night which isn't completely dark, you need not worry.

Hi - thanks for your review. If you press the lock button to lock the video, does it only lock the current video or the one before it as well? Because if something happens and you want the footage to be locked, but it just so happens to only be 1 or 2 seconds into the next "looped" video, you don't want to just save the video that only has the last 1-2 seconds of the action you are trying to save.

I think it starts to record the emergency video from the moment you press the lock button. So from the moment of pressing the button upto next 15-20seconds, it records thr video into separate emergency folder.

Dear , I am using Red Tiger F17 Dash Cam from Feb 2024. I have issues a) While I use Parking mode hard wire kit which is provided by the Dealer , designed only for this F17 model, after few minutes or half an hour, the camera shut off automatically while driving. And don’t get turn on at self. I have to remove wire from camera each time have to plug in again. b) With support team member at Delhi , I discuss the issue. He suggested me to use charger which was provided in camera box. I use charger but the problem is not resolved. Just the span to shut off is increased. But still it shut off automatically. On other hand , the charger is not working in parking mode which makes this camera steps down while comparing with other cameras. c) Now support team has been shifted from Bangalore to Delhi. The earlier one has dis connected them selves on providing support. d) Team at Delhi need video when camera shut off. while I don’t know when the camera will shut off while driving. In fact the camera shut off in both mode 1) with hard wire kit and 2) With charger power supply as well. Don’t know what to do next. If possible try to address the issue. Personal experience doesn’t allow to recommend this product as the after sales service is under uncertainty.

Hi, I have just got this camera installed, purchased from RedTiger website with Hardwire kit and extended warranty, it was best suited for my budget. Now, I am facing strange issue with rear camera where video are coming out like they are captured in night (however, they are capture in broad daylight with clear sunny sky), they are dark all the time. Rear camera footage was upside down so, flip rear camera option is enabled. But in your video rear camera footage is very much fine, not sure what to do, could be faulty rear camera. Can you suggest anything?

The only problem with redtiger dash cams are you have to connect it to their app to start recording. Everytime you start a car open up the app and connect it to start recording 🤦

No. You don't need to connect to app to start recording. I have used plenty of REDTIGER cams and never had to connect to app everytime. Only for first time installation, to format the memory card and to set the proper camera angle, had to connect to app that's all.
