Yes, the SSV snow blower finally came out I am going to have to look at two for my two Ventrac SSV. This year will be a game changer for me this winter, I can stand in stead of walk!

i wanted a step up from my 36" ariens hydro pro. i THOUGHT this was it. i don't mind the price, the ventrac name speaks for itself. the HP seems a bit low. in one video it really seems to slow down in RPMs where it's turning while blowing a foot of snow. also most sidewalks in my area are 48". if you had a second model, same frame but higher HP and 47" blower i would think it would appeal to a lot of people like myself that don't want to buy a JD7 series. i would find a way to load this into the back of my pickup and boy would not needing a trailer be nice!!

Having problems with wet / melting snow with the blower attachment. Just plows the snow doesn’t eat it up. Any tips?

Try running the blower at different RPMs and see if that has an affect on how well it processes the snow. If it's too wet, it can be hard for an augur to pick it up and move it through the chute.

Spray PAM inside the shoot. Helps keep the snow from sticking. Also heard of people getting ceramic coating spray in a can and spraying that on the entire inside of the blower.

This is why I always stick with Ariens, my 32 Ariens Hydro pro will take the most sloppy slushy wet crap and blast it 60 feet. Never clogged yet . Unfortunately they discontinued the 32 and only have the 36 which is stupid because you need to get thru gates
