I am a great admirer of Dr. John Campbell's lectures for many years. I literally grew up listening to this man. He personally helped me take an important decision in my research on regenerative pharmacology and wound healing using macrophage modulation. He is truly a legend. I wish to have him as my mentor for my research on tumour heterogeneity. I have never seen anyone this passionate in medicine. He should be actively involved in medical research and save more lives. He is destined to become more famous and successful than he is now. I'm happy to see that it is happening 😊. Such a good man

I remember fondly when dad was working on one of the first anti-virus meds. It later became Zovirax. I climbed into bed and used a sheet and quilt to warm up and fell asleep. Later that evening I woke because my body said I was too hot. I got comfortable and went back to bed. The next morning I woke perfectly healed. No trace of a fever nor did I feel unwell in any way

I have always let my children run a fever for a while. I got all kinds of flak from my in-laws about not reducing the fever immediately. I was taught as a young girl by my father, exactly what you just opened with. I have never been sick for more than 48 hours, and I'm assuming that's because I let the fever run its course. I am praying for every human soul on the planet. Everyone please stay safe, stay calm, stay away from others. I also believe that good old fresh air and sunshine will help in the recovery process.

I remember when I was younger and we got a fever my mom would wrap us in a blanket to make us hotter. Not give us aspirin to break the fever. Only if it got too high would they then put us in a tub of like warm water to bring it down some. But never gave us Tylenol or anything to make it go away completely.

@@fingersm My sister had a fever of 106. She had an ice bath at a hospital with the measles. She said the bath felt more deadly. I suppose that why me and my brother got the cold showers. If the ice felt like death...the shower felt like torture. We all survived like many did. Couldn't understand why we would make vaccines for it and chicken pox. I suppose if there's no parent at home to care for the sick, they must trust vaccines. Sad truth to that.

Whenever possible it is always better to let your body heal naturally. I realize there are exceptions but LOW FEVERS are our bodies way to let us know something is wrong, we need to rest, eat healthy, drink fluids to help our body fight these infections and monitor your Temp every 4-6 hours.
@michiganabigail4 жыл бұрын
I agree, but I don’t think of it in those terms. I think of it as not bothering my body. I’ve had a lot of near-death experiences, and my body has kept me around through it all. Just let my body kick that virus in the butt! Stop getting in the way unless you actually have to help! For some things, like when I had cancer, I needed the hospital. But most illnesses, just let my body get to work! Stop interrupting!
