Reducing the Research / Policy Gap Initiative; Researchers Experiences - Take home message

Held on Thursday 22nd May 2014 at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and co-sponsored by the Health Services Research Association of Australia and New Zealand (HSRAANZ) and the Primary Health Care Research & Information Service (PHCRIS), this networking breakfast and panel discussion was facilitated by PHCRIS Director Ellen McIntyre.
The panel, which consisted of three senior South Australian primary health care researchers Professor Maria Makrides, Professor Justin Beilby, and Professor Judith Dwyer, discussed lessons learnt from their own experiences in successfully translating research findings into policy and/or practice settings.
At the conclusion of this discussion on bridging the gap between research and policy, Ellen McIntyre asked the panel "What is the take home message for those interested in reducing the research policy gap".
