Seeing the inside of Bath Abbey, I marveled at the grandeur of the architecture and the statement that the builders were making about their belief in God. It also made me consider how growing up where such fairly ancient architecture is accessible affects how you grow up as opposed to living in a place where everything is fairly new. I enjoy these glimpses into your life and hope that you too, have a great rest of your weekend.

Bath Abbey was falling to pieces after the closure of the monasteries by King Henry VIII. The lead roof was removed for the metal and it was in a dire state. When Queen Elizabeth I came to the Throne in 1558 she visited Bath Abbey and decided to rescue it. The roof was restored and the spectacular stone vaulting was built to the same design as King's College Chapel Cambridge. We can thank Elizabeth I for saving this magnificent Abbey church.

What an amazingly structured video this is Matt, very informative and entertaining at the same time. I loved the clips from the Abbey your performing while you gave us a beautiful look around the abbey was full of atmosphere and really quite emotional because of the beauty of the music in such a wonderful place. I absolutely loved it as I do everything you create. Thank you for being part of what is often a very harsh world, you make it beautiful with your music on that wonderful instrument I call the big organ. Loved the look inside Bath Abbey, I had visited the town over the summer but couldn't see inside due to time constraints. And I'm really looking forward to the sheet music course! I used to play piano and I've been trying to get back into it but none of the lessons seem to stick.
