This tutorial video attempts to show how to perform Reduction to the Pole (RTP) transformation and its significance in magnetic anomaly interpretation. RTP is a technique used to transform observed magnetic anomalies into anomalies that would be measured if one were to be in the north magnetic pole. To simplify magnetic data interpretation, a realignment of the asymmetrical magnetic anomalies with their causative sources is required.
One of the key issues addressed in this tutorial is magnetic inclination, which refers to the angle between the Earth's magnetic field and the horizontal plane. Hence, by eliminating the influence of magnetic inclination, the recorded data from an inclined magnetic field are converted to reflect what they would appear like if the magnetic field were perfectly vertical.
The objectives of the RTP method may be classified into two: Firstly, it aims to correct the asymmetry in magnetic anomalies caused by inclination, allowing for more accurate analysis. Secondly, it enables the determination of the spatial location of anomalies in relation to their underlying causative bodies. It is important to note that the RTP transformation method assumes that the remanent magnetism is relatively small compared to induced magnetism.
The application of the RTP transformation is not without its challenges especially in “Low Latitude” environments with low magnetic inclinations. To address this, an alternative approach called "Reduction to the Equator" (RTE) is a preferred method due to its higher effectiveness.
This tutorial video will use Oasis montaj software to explore the intricacies of Reduction to the Pole and its applications in magnetic anomaly interpretation. You will also gain deeper understanding of the technique and enhance your magnetic data analysis skills.

Please can you make another covering the filters under the "Grid and Image" tool, like the 3x3 convolution, 5x5 symmetric convolution, 7x7 symmetric convolution, 9x9 symmetric convolution, vertical derivative convolution and more. I seriously need to learn how to use those filters. Thank you once again...
