North end gets very crowded during cruise ship season November to April. Go after 3 p.m. by when they have all left to be taken back to the port. Spinnakers Beach Bar by the 'ramp' (constructed by the US Navy in the 1940's for their flying boats) is a great place for 'Happy Hour' sunset cocktails South end is currently tranquil, locals, Marie's bar (see my post) but like so many natural spots is threatened with redevelopment. In fact virtually the whole hotel strip has been acquired by an international hotel group for 'redevelopment'. That means characterless bland homogenous 'resorts' that could be anywhere in the world. Probably most of their customers won't even know which island they're on. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Staying 1min walk from the South end in January. Near the shopping mall & Repts Fusion Fitness Center 😊👍

yes fairly quiet. uhm i was there in october. usually cruiseships roll in in december, january
