Redundant Playback Rig - Quick Demo (iConnectivity PlayAudio12 + MioXM)

Here's a quick look into how a redundant playback system works.
I am using iConnectivity's MioXM and Play Audio 12 interfaces connected together via ethernet and Ableton Drummer's SPD-SX KIT SELECTOR to switch kits on my Spd-SX.
(The mappings on this Max For Live device keep working even when switching to the secondary computer by the way.)

How do i get redundancy playback using reaper with iconnectivity interface

Hiya, I have vast experience with many different Daws but reaper is not one of them unfortunately. Having said that, I would think it’d be possible like in any other daw. The main thing is having the same exact session/project file running on both computers and then mapping something to the play button on both sessions, so ensuring that both machines start songs at the exact same time. Midi mapping is your friend here. Then the failover stuff is easy to setup, it’s just a Midi track sending lifesine(free plugin to download on iConnectivity’s website) to the internal channel 13 on the PA12. Why do all people demo iconnectivity interfaces on apple computers. Do people have any success with windows 11 ? Windows in general cannot support two audio interfaces simultaneously unlike apple. That uses aggregation.

You do not need aggregation to use a Play Audio 12 or Play Audio 1U. Each computer is connected to one interface(at the same time). It’s the interface that connects the two computers. I have used Apple for years so I demoed it on the system I own, but I am certain this would work just as well on Windows if that’s what you already own!
