We were desperate to get over the line, we defended well in the semi final a few years ago but never looked like scoring. Although we defended well again and the game was already gone we just wanted to post some points. Thats why there was a big celebration.

Ignore what happens with other clubs and the inconsistencies, as poor as the RL Authorities are at times they are trying to change the game for the safety of players, which is 100% the right thing to do. There are too many Saints players that are not adapting their game accordingly and it is costing us matches. I thought our overall performance was average, little to no structure in attack, the best try of the night was scored by Halifax. Still way off if we want to win more silverware this season, there is still time but Wello needs to make some tough decisions in key positions.

I agree that it'll be interesting to see what Wellens has to say. He wouldn't usually like to publicly criticise a player but how can he not. I've always been a big Knowles fan but why get yourself banned (again) for no reason with 20 seconds to go when you're 20 points up. What was he thinking.

You have to be honest he as got away with a lot of thuggish behaviour in the past he must realise all eyes where watching him what's worrying he will badly injure someone if not stopped the club should take action

About what was predicted. A solid win, but Halifax weren't going to let you score 40 or 50. Not letting the ball get to Tee Ritson was what every Championship club had to try to achieve last season, but you'd think Saints would have more answers. Don't worry too much about losing Knowles for next week until you see the crop of bans after us v Wigan. Your old mate Bentos says he's matured and he's certainly reduced the nonsense with which he used to stack up the cards and bans. Not at risk this week, anyway, as he's out due to HIA protocol. Harry Newman is always a risk. He'd better behave because we need him against you.

When a player is consistently being pinged for over-the-top foul play there's a good bet he's got fitness problems and/or psychological demons. A senior pro needs to take him to one side and get to the bottom of it - from a professional perspective, but also a human one.

@@johnbrown4225 I was looking at the same tackle as everybody else. I watched it back at leat 6 times. My honest opinion is he hit him in the back. The fax player collapsed under the force of the tackle and Morgan Knowles when over the top of him due to momentum.

@@markwinno it happened right on front of where I was sitting, he made contact with head or neck, with force, red card every day of the week. Since reading your comment I have watched it a fair few times, but nothing I've seen has changed my mind and you are the only person who thinks he has done nothing wrong.
