Not sure we have really performed all season irrespective of the team on the field. Attack has been diabolical most weeks. Making the 6 has a huge question mark against it. Good to hear you saying it as it is.

I support Leeds and we are currently 7th. There is no way in hell no matter how bad you think you are playing that we will finish above saints. Maybe Leeds will improve now that donut Smith has gone but if you think you are inconsistent then God knows what you would call Leeds 😂

Understand that, but we lose next 3 to Wigan, Warrington and Leigh, you win those equal points. The league is far from over, apart from the shield that’s done and dusted. No problem getting beat by any team so long as we put in a reasonable performance. Recently 🤦‍♂️ You have a good coach in ‘Arthur’ coming in if true. He was unlucky in NRL at the Eel’s this year with injury to Moses.

Given cas last few performances their second best team in yorkshire and actually puttting an effort in against the bigger team's. Leeds/hudds down and out at mo, hull fc is leigh mk 2 next season given their recruitment. Glad cas are putting the effort in and hopefully build on their past few performances

Wellens isn't going to win us anything. He's taken us back years and it'll get worse if he's given a new deal. We should get rid now before the season is ripped away from us.

Spoke to you guys outside the stadium after salford and advocated for ritson to be thought of on the wing but i now definitely agree with kev when he said it could be a problem with him in training and maybe he doesnt deserve to be playing. Overall though, thought we were poor everywhere and if its true that we were resting players then we deserve the loss more than first thought.

Not just the coaching, not enough bulk in the forwards ( all Saints great sides had strong mobile forwards ) Not enough speed , in fact is there any speed ? Kicking game predictable with little, if any , variation . We’ve been spoiled over the years, and blessed with players , alas it’s over for the moment ….

Absolutely spot on this analysis! Terrible decision to kick the 2. Noah Stephens, James Bell and Curtis Sironen had a good game. Atmosphere was flat, as was saints attack (non existent) lots of change needed

Was looking forward to this one :) just a badly coached team this year.. and it seems the players have lost faith. Genuinely not sure we will make the top 6. You would have to be a seriously bad team not to beat Saints at the moment. The fact we are 2nd says a lot about the quality of the league. I've never seen coaches so unable to react to what is happening. It's like Wello and Co brains are just not functioning during a game. Bizarre The inept coaching can be masked by some quality players coming back.. but there's no hiding it anymore. None of the coaching staff are capable of leading this team

We’ve played well once under wellens and that was Huddersfield at magic last year. Not sure why we’re rushing Lomax back when he still has a broken hand. I’d drop dodd for the rest of the season because we have nothing to play for now. Would actually be beneficial for him to be released early now for both parties

I’ve listened to Wellens interview on the saints website. I think anything less than that would have made me more angry. He didn’t fluff it up it was told as it is… Think he knows time isn’t on his side

I've held my own so far all season, but... Wello isn't a fit enough coach for this club. He's not performing, he's no idea what he's doing and he's letting the fans down. The most disappointing thing I find about him is he doesn't seem to take any responsibility for what goes on in the park. Time to call on his sword and get out before fans forget about him as a player and only remember him as a really cheap first team coach. If this club is as important to him as he says he needs to go. He shouldn't be given a new contract. He needs to leave.

The culture of the club has meant for years anyone within the system can step into the first team and not look out of place Ritson Championship standard, Bell playing through the pain, too much asked of the young props again, Dodd will replace Louis Griffin at Wire in 2026 zero chance of anything more than NSW cup for him 😂 There's more lads in the coaches box than on the field, clueless, I'll personally cover Mike Rushes seat on a Quantas flight...

Noone that knows what they are doing. I've been probably one of the more patient fans. Certainly didn't want Wello to fail but it feels like it's the point where a change needs to happen to save the season otherwise we fall out of the top 6

Having nine players missing is going to affect any club. Having an off day happens to all clubs. When they combine along with poor coaching you get performances like that one. Saying that, Castleford have improved from their early season standard and have become hard to beat but aren't anything special themselves which with Saints' issues won't make for an entertaining game.

I can't get past what you said at the start - no shape, no structure in attack. Rushed and off the cuff. There were too many amateurish performances tonight. Gloom for me as I go to bed.

Worrying that next 2 games are against Wigan and Warrington cas game was the time to setup for them 2 games and got absolutely nothing. Cas game plan was to play boring rugby and as game went on it played into there hands. Few of fans reactions at the end of the game did not like it especially with Lewis Dodd sorry his head already next season in the NRL

Lomax and Dodd were awful , as they have been all season. Terrible decision to give Lomax a new contract. Dodd shouldn't play for the club again. Wellens is out of his depth as a head coach. Has to go.

If Dodd has gone back at the crowd shows what a poor professional he is. His performance was (again) woeful. With the 3 games coming, it'll be 5 defeats in a row, then this group will find their correct league position. Kev said "We aren't 9th", but this Cas team are. I'm not angry, just bored. Sick of the nepotism.

Garbage utter garbage. Like watching a poor amateur side. Cas tackled and Saints had no answers. If this was football you would say Wello has lost the dressing room. Still had first choice half backs and full back and yet they looked as though they had never met. Dodd is uninterested - totally uninterested he’s already in Sydney. Bell and Percival for me looked up for it.
