I think you can probably blame fans for their relative paucity, this style of music & video just don't seem to sell anywhere near as well. Albeit these typically do *relatively* better(still less than hyped songs) on audio-only services. Many fans seem to feed on hype and trends more than quality or originality unfortunately.

@ciao214Z It's pretty clearly influenced by 90s/2000s styles. The video is even soft and in 4:3 ratio emulating video from that era. Albeit it has been somewhat loose with the visual style, mixing film & tape noise etc. "2000's generations"(which your comment referenced, the original did not) is not the same as a 2000's *style*, babies don't tend to be a big part of the culture of the time. Styles don't 'belong' to a generation, it's not stealing to recreate it, it's a homage if anything. I'm of the generation that feels most tied to this era and style myself. This emulation is pretty overused *in general *, with every other person pointlessly slapping on an exaggerated vhs effect - but it's been done well, and more authentically, here.
