You like Vinny Vinesauce and the Red Vox? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Another Light came out in '17, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Nirvana, but I think Boot has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '24, Melpert released this; "visions and afterthoughts", their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Garbage Land". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the mass inlfux of pests and the importance of sanitation. It's also a personal statement about New York itself. HEY JOEL!!

Didn't know anything about Red Vox before this song. Randomly misclicked on youtube and ended up here and damn its good. Even after listening to other Red Vox songs I think its my favorite. Favorite line is "Couldn't pay the rent cuz the prices started hiking, and now the MTA approved congestion pricing" goes insanely hard. I think the mix of Vinnie's rapping and the harmonized chorus probably is why I like it so much. In their respective quantities they provide a really nice momentum to the song. Just incredibly well made.
