Yeah. KZbin limiting the bandwidth for some people. If you really want to make sure it is 4k you can rip the 4k file from youtube with VideoHelper on Firefox.

4096x2160 ProResLT. KZbin will take ProRes files and covert it down. I've noticed that doing that is the best way to get the sharpest image out of KZbin rather then giving them an already compressed h.264 file.

I spent 4 years in college in the heart of the redwood forest in Northern Ca. There is a reason you feel that way, this place is magical, you can feel it when you walk around the forest. If you have never been there I highly recommend going. Humboldt would welcome you with open arms

DaVinci Resolve. It's a free program from Black Magic! Also i shoot everything super flat. That way in post i can extract as much dynamic range and color out of the image i want. The vivid setting on like a 5d MKIII are great if you have a fast turn around, but setting like that often clip the reds and highlights.

The resolution that he references is that of the Red One, but he said that he used a Red Epic. Depending on which of the two he actually used, that means that his 4K is either 4.3 or 4.5 times more pixels than 1920x1080.
