Between $100 & $165 a month for electrcity, water and heating 😂😂😂 😂😂😂 dream on....
@vvjp5732 Жыл бұрын
That is normal for apartments in the city.
@joodlesbrockhus1664 Жыл бұрын
As someone who lives in Melbourne and lived in the inner city I can confirm that's a kite dream to be paying that amount. For utilities in AUD you have your basic service charges for gas and electricity so my tiny apartment cost for gas and electricity was $280 per month. My internet is $120 per month and my phone is $70. Depending on your landlord and the property meters water can be included but if not put another $120 per month on top.

@@44fall4I think the statement the public transport isn't very good isn't correct. A lot of people complain about it but for $7AU a day you get unlimited travel on trains, trams, light rail and maybe buses. The trams around the city centre are free and there is a subway which we call the city loop. You can travel to some regional areas on the same ticket. The down side is it stops around 1am and Melbourne is quite spread out so some areas aren't covered too well. But for someone living in an inner city apartment I would imagine it would be excellent
@rii3053 Жыл бұрын
@MikeKulls2 you could even take buses for free if you're lucky bcs they don't monitor the ticket scanners

Sorry I know this would be too much but pls do these: 1. Halifax Canada 2. Adelaide Australia 3. Perth Australia 4. Sunshine coast Australia 5. St John's New Brunswick
@Sagealeena Жыл бұрын
Adelaide and Perth are way cheaper than Sunshine Coast. Perth is very isolated though and doesn’t have as many good jobs in industries other than mining. Adelaide I don’t know as much about, it has cheaper house prices but it doesn’t have as many good jobs, there’s also just not much to do there. Sunshine Coast is nice but has gotten very touristy, and some areas have gotten completely unaffordable

You need to do a ratio of cost to earnings. As this makes the difference in affordability. You need to cover minimum wage and mode.

Transport is actually great in Melbourne. Way more than most American cities can dream of but not as good as Japan or Europe. But you're on point with the cost of living crisis here. It's what should really scare people away from Australia. Spiders and snakes are the least of their worries here.
@nathanbarker2809 Жыл бұрын
That is a complete lie. You forgot that the one bedroom is a shared apartment. Australia is actually more expensive than America. Wages are also lower in Australia for professions than America. Fuel is more expensive in Australia. Food is more expensive in Australia. Alcohol is more expensive in Australia.
