Yes, these were an original/unreleased colorway. Being a huge AI fan growing up, these were the first shoes I recall hooping in... but... this colorway never released. I always thought these were the hottest colorway, but that’s mainly because I knew they may never come out. I was like 13 then. Fast forward 20 years later and I’m too fucking giddy about this release! It’s surreal, the holiest of holy grails.

Correct he wore them in the finals. They released to the public around 2006 along with 10-15 other colorways on Eastbay.

@weartesters, after a bit of research there is a SMALL difference, checking on THE google. the I3 logo on his during the 01 finals was white, where on these it's black. BUT, I think there are 2 versions, some of the images from back then show him for home games with the black I3, while the road had the white I3. only difference i can tell.

So I had this colorway when I was in high school. The only difference was the I3 logo was white. My mom got them for me from the eastbay catalog. One of my most worn basketball shoes from back in the day. I beat them up. It was so nice to see them on your channel, brought back memories.

These are definitely an OG. Iverson wore these multiple times in that 01 season. Mostly in the playoffs. I think they were part of that 2012 retro release where they had a bunch of team colorways (exclusive to Eastbay) and some of the OGs.

He wore these for a home game in the finals. I bought them off Eastbay in 2006 and thought the last 15 years that I had the shoe. They were my faves, the one pair I’d save in a fire etc. Seeing the ads, it was like finding out a child I raised wasn’t mine. I quickly overpaid on eBay and got them from Taiwan to amend my midlife crisis. Imagine realizing after 15 years that your favourite pair of shoes isn’t even your favourite pair of shoes.

This colorway released on Eastbay around 2006. There were about 10-15 colorways that released. I still have the original DS pair in this colorway. The original has the white I3 on the side instead of black. Original doesn’t have the I3 on the tongue and doesn’t have iverson tattoo on the insole.
