I like the weight idea..good thinking Mr. Joe! Vise looks goid again as well ! Ans never tried putting air into a can. May try that! Thanks

I am not sure how safe it is, but it does work. Ideally you push a valve stem over the can spout and fill it up like a tire. Cheers

That’s such a great vise- Nice size and superior quality. I like the CRC 3-36 except for one thing- Whatever propellant they use never lasts more then half the can, also their spray nozzles fall off always. So I am officially finished buying their products until I am compensated for past losses. 😂👍

That is so true. If you watch closely, you can see me re- pressurize the can with my air compressor. That stuff is too expensive to throw out, so I end up doing dumb stuff that could literally blow up in my face 🤣😶🌫️😵. Cheers

Me too. I'm getting tired of working on that old truck I bought. Cheers

Thanks Joe, I remember you doing this project a few years ago and I copied your idea (I used a break disc instead of a weight) I painted mine, it still gets used a lot 🔨👍😊 Tony (was Sparky415)

The brake disc is a brilliant idea. I think about it every time I see that vise, no joke. Cheers

Nice cleanup. I have a Reed 105 as my main vise, but would really like to find a 103 for my welding table.

Looks good Joe. What about using a clear coat? Take care
@joeheilm9 ай бұрын
I use this vise to hold stuff while I heat things up with the torch. I doubt any kind of finish, other than oil, would withstand that punishment. If I didn't use heat then I bet a nice Clear coat would work well. Cheers

I use straight Flood Penetrol on my 80 yr old use vise. It's bare metal finish too. The spots where I spilled some on the concrete still look wet and protected after 3 years!

What about using a clear coat of lacquer on it.
@joeheilm9 ай бұрын
I use this to hold stuff while I torch it. Nothing holds up to that heat. Cheers

Happy to see that vise again! How's the model T doing?
@joeheilm9 ай бұрын
Wow. The model T doesn't come up very often. Honestly the T needs about 4 or 5 hours of work, to be road worthy. It just has not been on my radar. Maybe it can be a multipart project next year for its 100 year birthday. Cheers

@@joeheilm I think you've showed it once. And it stuck in my mind. Be cool to see it sputter around on it's birthday.
