REEF GROUPER plus 2 Bull SHARKS! Grouper Throat Catch and Cook

We do a little different fishing trip than normal on this day and stay on the edge of the reef and wrecks. Bait is the first priority and James makes a great toss and loads up on cigar minnows. We catch a barracuda on the bait patch and then start fishing for grouper. We let a few small ones go and eventually catch our first keeper black grouper! After that we get into some big fish and release 2 bull sharks estimated at 300 and 200 lbs. We finish the day up with another nice black grouper before heading back to Bud n' Mary's Marina. I fillet up the groupers and a few snapper and take a grouper throat back home to cook. I cook it in the pan and then make a delicious fish taco! Enjoy!

Was just in Venice tuna fishing and when did our inshore fishing we would hit the fillet tables and the cut the throats out of the big yellowfin tunas the guides wouldn't cut out and cook them over coals. So good.

Man, that throat should a have gone on the grill. I know you are probably whooped from fishing and didn't want to fool with the grill but that would have been spectacular! We don't get a lot of grouper here but we eat the heck out of the snapper throats and ribs. By far the tastiest part of the snapper.
