Reef Tank Filtration - Sump Update - February 2020

This is an update video of the filtration that's running my 75 gallon reef tank. I'm running a marineland 30 gallon tank as my DIY sump. I'm running a reef octopus essence 130 protein skimmer, Jecod DCS 7000 return pump, aqueon 150 pro heater, and pinky filter.

Don’t know if you ever saw my sump reboot video but that’s exactly why I built the egg crate rack for the Seachem matrix - allows complete flow-through while avoiding detritus collection, still love it! Yours is perfect for those spheres! Appreciate the filtration documentation - you’re right about ideas and information, always helps. 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey, you should do a ATI test and see if the marine pure are leaching aluminum. That would be an interesting video because you’ve had them on from the beginning. Alternative would be Siporax if they’re leaching.

Why are you doing a UV? From what I have heard they are almost impossible to set up to be effective and then you have to figure out exactly what you want it to do.
