Hey guys great video, you heard of waste decomposer by far the best organic fertilizer ever available it is made by indian government organic fertilizer department and is highly popular in india many people take it and sell it on amazon too it has a history too,first the Department found out it is highly useful so they encouraged bio fertilizer organic companies to sell them they took it but sold out at a high rate,so to counter it government started selling it, ie just 20 cents usd in india (just mix it with 200 litres of water and 2kg of jaggery too boost up the micro bacterium process and keep the container for 21 days its easy to make and is highly economical ) type waste decomposer in youtube and will find hundreds of video about it for any one trying organic farming please just search about it, too overcome language barrier there are many english translated video too on it

Do you do soil tests?
@RMSpeltzFarm9 жыл бұрын
+Patrick Horner yes we do through the U of Mn

Are your soils extremely high in P and K? The liquid fertilizer cannot supply all the P and K your hay crop needs and definitely not the N required. Do you supplement with something else?
@RMSpeltzFarm9 жыл бұрын
+Patrick Horner I would say we are normal for NPK ratios on the field here in Minnesota. Most are clay black dirt soils here and very rich in mineral content and irons etc which is why Mn is such a good farming state. Since we dont do alfalfa hay crops that require high P and K we have no issues with this type of fertilizer and compared to the years previous it has done very well compared to using AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer . When we use the liquid fertilizers we need to apply them on our fields at rate about 8lbs of made up liquid/acre for P2O5, otherwise I say based on our results we apply the P at this rate we get results about 45lbs/acre of our soil tests in the spring at U of Mn which is pretty good and we are not using heavy synthetic chemicals which is good to.

ReefDVMs Is it possible to make a living on that much land, or do you supplement it with something else?
@RMSpeltzFarm9 жыл бұрын
David Smith Actually the national average for farm acreage in USA is 441 acres per farm, with that being said 35% are below 200 acres and 31% are 600 plus, so we are in the 35% level. As for a living on farming it depends on what you like to adjust too. Most farms under 200acres farmed in the USA are family owned farms where the third or fourth generation isnt paying a mortgage and probably living on $50k per year or less. In our case we run two businesses here first is the farm and second "Horse Blanket Wash and Repair", my wife handles most of this and I keep busy helping her and running ReefDVMs. Between the garden for our own food, the land for raising beef and farming for cash along with the other business we live a nice live, not wealthy but still hard working successful in our minds=)
