To take nems off of rocks I use a plastic spoon but upside down so creates like an upside down scoop and u can flip it(spoon) over to slowly relinquish the nem from the rock it's on bit u need to move slowly and methodically

March I think the next video should be a two in one. A frag tank walk through from low price to high, however I think it would be awesome if you included what frags you would pick if you was creating a easy or hard mixed reef tank. It’s awesome to see what frags you have and which ones you enjoy/would pick for yourself. Or maybe even which corals you would pick for one of your customers/viewers tanks. Cant wait for you to come to the uk 👍

I would love to sit down with that man and learn, very lucky to have him as a customer. Should see if he's willing to let you film his tanks, and then do a podcast type interview with him and shoot the shit on everything.

Ive been doing 95% of my shopping in Calgary @ an LFS called "Wai's Aquarium", best LFS in the city. I've been using just the basic REEF SALT buckets & bags in my 10G nano and it works great. Calgary already has very hard water so I don't have to supplement any Ca/Mg, with just the regular weekly 20% change the Corals all have fully extended polyps. I even have hard corals growing like crazy now since I added some carbon. Currently there is no protein skimmer till I finish building my external sump, the water changes keep me balanced in the 9dkh range. I'm going to acquire some Aquaforest Iodine supplement today for my zoanthus because I keep hearing they like the knob turned up a little, other than that the Aquaforest Salt is completely turn-key solution, works flawless and I think its slightly hot (high-test) mixture so you get a good amount of trace.

My method for moving nems out is trying to get them to move to a loose rock I can take out. If it is not on a rock I can take out I put some loose rock around it and put a very small power head on it to make it want to move. Once it is on a rock I take the rock out and dangle it upside down outside the water. The nem will stretch out and start to detach from the rock. Sometimes I need to carefully help the foot let loose with my finger (no nails), but that is pretty easy once they stretch out. This method has always worked for me so far. My logic would say considering less die off at the bottom if you put SPS no the sand would have to be light reflection of of the light colored sand.

Really enjoyed this - I have those long scissors except mine are curved - they’re AWESOME for trimming leathers! 👍🏻

Maybe like snow the sand reflects the light to the underside. Just a thought.

Glass would do the same except better if kept clean. The sandbed would also have to be kept clean to benefit from reflection.

I also use aquaforest sea salt for all my srvc tanks and my 64 gal mixed reef primarily acros because of its lower dkh levels so I can adjust accordingly unless ur running high dkh over 9, I run like 8 so I'm fine using the sea salt mix instead not to mention the price point/quality is great!!!!!!

Question: I went through my entire reefing hobby life thinking you need to match the salinity, drip acclimate all corals and everything and here you are with an entire business just moving corals along tank to tank. Was that just bad info passed to me? You make it look so easy

just curious. you don't dip for any pests or anything of that sort on your frag tanks. I feel like putting them straight in could bring in pests, diseases etc into the system no??

@@brian-te4xs at least he doesn't lie about dipping everything anymore. He used to say he dipped all his coral as he was unloading fresh imports into the frag tanks no dip. I don't think anyone should really take anything March says on these videos seriously. I find his youtube channel generally caters to the American audience so he tries to make his store look better and more legit than it is and used to lie or mislead quite often.

Reefer with 30 years experience brings in some very, very average coral. Sick click bait. For anyone who doesnt want to sit around to see an acro and some bta just move on thats literally all it is. just a ton of filler with very little interesting content in this one. This channel/store is losing the plot so fast its hilarious. Give it a year from now and fragbox will be a meme in the reefing community.
