Thank you so very much for putting the great comedian Mantan Moreland’s rare movies on KZbin. I’m 73, and I’ve never seen him in anything other than a few “Charlie Chan” movies and “King of the Zombies.” He’s an American icon.

I love all his films. He's a great character actor and comes up with all sorts of hilarious lines and sometimes it's just the comedic looks he gives. We need more actors of his calibre. I also wish that the TV film channels would screen some of his films. The station Talking Pictures screens the odd Charlie Chan film- sometimes with him in it. I'd love to get a box set of his films and just enjoy them

I’m so glad he’s remembered for the fantastic actor and person that he was ❤. He always got 3rd billing, but he deserved 1st. Check out William Best too. @@edfitz3765 Mr. Hamilton resembled and sounded like Clark Kent's boss from "The Adventures of Superman". After the movie I researched on Wikipedia. That was the final confirmation. I used to watch that series as a child. "Look up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No it's SUPERMAN!"

Moreland has a bit more screen time in this than in most Charlie Chan movies, so this one's a real treat. And though built on an illogical premise, the film's great. Suspenseful, fast paced and has really wonderful characters. And the comedic touches are done really deftly which in that era is not all that common.
