Even those in the PanAfrican movement, the conscious community, and those in the Baptist/Methodist/whatever church use these entities to pad their pockets. TD Jakes, for instance, is a multi millionaire. He claims to have made most of his money from book sales, movies, and other means. When Elijah Muhammad was alive the NOI had fish markets and grocery around the country. Elijah Muhammad, like TD Jakes, wrote several books. So, if Elijah Muhammad was actually worth $20 million, do you know exactly how that money was earned? Secondly, if the NOI had killed Malcolm the government would have locked up Elijah Muhammad, Louis Farrakhan, and many more in NOI leadership positions. They would be still be imprisoned to this day. I’ve had several friends and acquaintances who were lost and headed down the wrong paths join the NOI and turn their negative life into a positive life. I’ve seen the NOI clean up and make safe a violent neighborhood and didn’t use guns or promote violence to do so. The police were not able, but more so willing to do this. It was as though the police were okay with black on black killings. Like Nick Cannon was silenced by a certain group, Malcolm X too was silenced by the same group. Malcolm was telling too many truths. Once he left the NOI he left his security blanket and there was no one to control his words anymore. Those who silenced Nick feared that they would not be able to silence Malcolm and that he would teach us too much about our true history. Like the fact that we are aboriginal and can’t even say the word. Now when it comes to MLK, rest his beautiful spirit in peace, but he was manipulated and abused by the SCLC. MLK was used as the face of the Civil Rights Movement. You have to ask yourself, why was a twenty something year old man selected to be the leader of the Civil Rights Movement? Why not an older and more experienced Baptist pastor like Ralph Abernathy? Someone who had been around many blocks and therefore had more knowledge and wisdom. Have you heard MLK speech titled “The Other America”? This speech was made a couple years after the signing of the Civil Rights Act. This speech is where MLK started to realize that he lead his people into a burning house. BTW have you read the Civil Rights Act? I have and it is very weak and does practically nothing for people of color. Others have benefited far more from the Civil Rights Act while “African Americans” have digressed. Also, why is it an “Act” vice being a law or an amendment to the constitution? What you wrote is misleading and not factually accurate. It’s more like surface observations. Like you are regurgitating what is taught in schools and spewed through media outlets. I am not a Muslim, but I do know of the good things that the NOI has done. I doubt that they are perfect. But, I know that the NOI is publicly persecuted by political leaders, the media, and those who silenced Nick for a reason. If the NOI was one of the seven churches in Asia that the Book of Revelations speak of, which one would it be? Which one of the seven churches would the Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal be? Even the SCLC and NAACP be? Which church of Asia would you be? Your words and perspective may change upon knowing which of the seven churches ⛪️ you are. May peace be onto you!
