@@sunnybright8206with all respect Beyonce did not become a global superstar because she was relatable. In fact Beyonce is one of the few people in the industry your NOT supposed to relate to. People come to Beyonce for the fantasy and ultimate perfection and an escape from their realities. She's a great artist and performer, and while yes some messages and narratives in her music are universal overall her status in society and experiences are not that relatable. But like I said people don't come to her for that and that's not a bad thing really.

Why did they tell her to bleach
@dianariverjackson5123 Жыл бұрын
Because during the beginning of 2000s, late 1998 it was popular to be blonde, skinny and white. Like Britney, Christina, Jessica Simpson.. even Mariah and Jlo started bleaching their hair during this time.

@@AngeBiampandouBeyonce said out of her own mouth back in 2002 that the label asked her to bleach her hair to make it blonde. She said she had Beautiful "virgin hair" and that the bleach made her hair break off badly which is why Tina started styling her hair in braids, microbraids and other braided styles in order to protect her hair from the bleaching process. This is why she was wearing braids 1999 2000 and 2001. She explained all of this. This was when Beyonce was more open and less guarded. You can find this information easily ❤ she also talked about how her and Latavia always had to be on diets starting at age 10 because she went thru a chubby stage and her and Latavia were always more curvaceous than LeToya and Kelly.
