the impressive thing is that the film is as amateur as it can be, like no one got paid, they did it all on their free time, friends car, the last scene when it was closed at night etc lol. fucking love the movie. and the astro-nuts hat is nice.

Hi guys, I'm from Russia, I did not think that I would find you, you have released a very cool film, not only about space, but also about the relationships of people, I was also happy for you, and I cried from your sincere conversations. And let others say whatever they want, that the movie is boring and all the time in the car, they are stupid, they do not understand. I will remember it for a very long time, I wish my children to watch the film, and learn something new about space. I, as a person who also likes to be interested in space, very much appreciated your film. I just don't have enough words to describe everything, the film really caused a strong impression!!! Thank you very much, also for the music, it played a significant part. I, as a fan of Hans Zimmer and the like, appreciated your soulful tracks at a high level. Say hello to everyone (even the operators) and good luck!!! I'll give you the highest rating on IMDb🥺 😢 👍🏻 Привет всем! :) (russ.)

Sick of watching all action films with amazing special effects. This does not need that and it totally refreshing. Can’t praise it enough. @@Elliander sure. eight star rating from me, it is. and what i loved the most about this movie, was i perfect capture of sense of wonder and discovery. it's what we expected from movie like "Contact", but never got. there is everything i love: lot of well done mystery, well dosed suspense, bit of action, a flicker of comedy, nicely done drama between characters... damn, it's almost like reversed "Thing", if you think about it. and finally this soundtrack, perfectly accentuating it all. the only time in recent years, where soundtrack was so well fitted to plot, was with the "Color out of space". even the one for "Interstellar" or "The martian" wasn't so well crafted.

24 hrs after watching Cosmos it’s still with me. The most spectacular part of this film for me is the eloquence in the action/reaction sequences-a character’s comment followed by a cutaway to the face of the person providing the reaction. No words needed. No extraneous, dumbed-down dialogue. The music was in perfect sync with a scene's emotional elements. Perfect beyond words. I passed this movie over a dozen times, thinking it would be another clumsy attempt at sci-fi. I’m glad I gave the movie a chance. For me, this really isn’t a sci-fi. If this movie could have been beamed into space instead of what’s-his-name’s silly message, it would have been a perfect representation of what Humanity is. The story seems like a bromance on the surface but at its core it challenges our humanity with the question of what would we have to offer ET’s upon first contact. The sci-fi is more like a plot device to give voice to the reason behind the film. The pacing in the first half of the film was almost-not quite-too slow and I remember hoping there was a good payoff at the end. Too many films build to what should be a grand finale then-nothing. You rewarded the characters for their perseverance with each other and the challenge of finding ET. That was a reward worth waiting for.

Wow, thank you so much. Honestly it feels like we made this film for you - you perfectly understood our goals and we're thrilled you connected with themes and characters on so many levels. We know the film my not be for everyone but that wasn't really our aim - our aim was to make a movie for people who like the kind of stories we do, and in that goal I think we've succeeded, especially if your experience and comment is anything to go by. We wanted to make a film about science and engineering and put those heroes of our real world in the spotlight for once. We wanted COSMOS to be a film of heart and hope, a true and genuine depiction of male friendship and how if we can help and heal each other we can together achieve great things.Thank you so much for giving COSMOS a chance and taking the time to reach out to us with such thoughtful, insightful and kind words. My brother and I truly appreciate your time and effort and it's a pleasure to connect with a like-minded thinker. Many thanks again and all the best to you, Elliot (& Zander Weaver)

This movie for me comes at a very time in my life, I needed this film because its a true wake up call as to what is really important and what we as humans should strive for, and as for the storyline; its genius, people with imagination don’t need special effects and spectacular scenics, and this movie is a testament to that fact, I would take this movie over any other simply because its raw and its marrow deep. When his message played back to him as he put on his headphones; I legit got chills from that and the music; haven’t felt that in quite sometime. For me, the best part of this movie is thinking about what would happen next in the context in which the movie ended on; while rewatching it, I like to think that they will look back on all of this and it will the seed that started this amazing journey that lead to the greatest discovery is mankind’s history, I bet they will look back with fondness when they were all singing that song in the Volvo lol, just amazing how they can interject something like that in a movie like this is again genius. I try to watch this movie every week or so because its so good and it honestly never gets boring, the music, the cinematography, the script, the direction of the film, everything about it is masterfully done. Cheers from Canada! I would strongly recommend you watch the 2014 movie "Boyhood", its a 12 year in the making movie that follow a boy throughout his youth, adolescence, teenage and college life while navigating life and the challenges that comes with it, brilliantly done; very nostalgic and very captivating. Cheers!

Okay, so wow James! WOW! Where do we even begin except with thank you! Elliot & Zander here, sorry it has taken so long to reply to you so thank you for your patience. But my goodness, what a message to read! Now we have the chills! It's amazing to read how truly and deeply you understand the story and the characters and what would happen in the events following the movie - like you, we think the world would become a better place and humankind would reach new heights, and indeed these three men would always remember than night when the came together, healed each other and discovered something miraculous. We truly mean it when we say it that Cosmos was made for you. Its a nerve wracking process to make something and then send it out into the world but we know it'll be safe out there because people like you will understand it and look after it - it belongs to you now as well and what started as a story that Zander and I wrote, is now being written by all of us. So thank you for giving our film a chance and thank you for writing to us. I flicked this on at 0200 in the morning, desperate for something to watch and willing to try what looked like a student film (3/4 characters, borrowed equipment!).....and 20 minutes in, I was intrigued. I just watched the movie and went straight to YT for the soundtrack. I have always been a space nerd and science enthusiast, and this movie made me feel so emotional since i can absolutley relate to the characters in it. I constantly ask myself "Are we alone?", "Why are we here?", "What is out there?". I also see alot of things in the characters i find in myself...little things, like fascination one gets if you stare up to the stars at night, in complete silence, in the middle of the woods. Its like an addiction of the best kind. Normally i preferred to watch the stars in an quiet enviroment, but from now on i will have this soundtrack playing in the backround. ❤️ This movie is so special. For me its on the same level as Contact, The vast of night, the Cosmos TV show, Arrival, or Close encounters of the third kind. And i hope you guys continue to make these kind of movies. Emotional, realistic science fiction movies are so rare....this is why this movie is such a gem! I LOVED IT! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Saw this film last week. Well done! I like the focus on the characters and not on some aliens actually walking about. Very suspenseful. And it did hit me as it reminded me of my friends years ago and the bonds and adventures we had then.... bonds lost... memories retained.......

Hi Ian, thank you so much for your message, apologies for the slow reply so thank you for your patience. So thrilled you enjoyed the movie, that's the ultimate form of success for us and the team. There are no immediate plans to release any sheet music for the score I'm afraid, but we'd love that. We shall talk to our composer and see if that is a possibility. Thanks again for your message and taking the time to watch Cosmos. Cheers, from Ell & Zand and the rest of the team.

Anyone know who sings the Keemo Kimo Sing Song Kitty song? Google ain't havin it not 💯% anyway it pops up same song but like three different singers, maybe it was four, but not by whoever sang it in the movie. Sounds like something from the 40s or 50s. Well anyway just wondering. Catchy tune LOL! Ok back to the movie I'm near the halfway mark. I'm actually streaming it on Prime which I found by chance and so far I think it's pretty good! Never heard of the actors but they're definitely holding there own quite well. All in all quite impressive. 👍👋😊

ok, i was searching on KZbin for the version that was used in this movie of a song called 'Sing Song Kitty' that was supposed to start around 49mins into the movie, but I could not find the rendition or version that was used in the movie. There is a recurring piano theme in this film that very much reminds me of Ludovico Einaudi: Nuvole Bianche, the 4 chord sequence at the start before the main melody comes in. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoe1Xml3iJVgopY .. and watching the film I keep expecting the melody to kick in :) I actually had to google to see if it WAS a modification of that or Einaudi did the soundtrack!

@@Elliander I'm glad you can hear it :) Don't take it badly, not that you were! Music is about emotions and he's fantastic with simple (but not pointlessly simple) stuff. TBH 4 chord on a beat on a progression is always going to repeat but then again, you might say Bach was obvious :) (There is skit by a great aussie comedy troup called Axis of Awesome about how every song is the same 4 chords but it's not these. If you are a musician, it's abslutely worth listening to! I'm not affiliated, saw them in the Ed Festival about 10 years ago. Downstairs in Teviot, for those who know :)).
