U guys have no idea just how wrong U are. Mikael is Klaus's child abuser, tormentor who wanted him dead for simply being what he is. Even i knew how huge this betrayal was, even Rebekah realized gow stupid it was to do this. It's not some old grudge, he just learned of it and u being biased here a little. Ever wonder why Klaus is so paranoid, untrusting and so messed up is because of Mikael and what he did to him.

THIS is my biggest pet peeve about their reactions to this show. They went in hating klaus and never tried to understand him as a character even though that’s the entire point of the show. The entire first half of the season was to build up to this betrayal. And why it was huge. Mikael is the reason klaus is the way he is. All his siblings watched his abuse for years and done nothing, until later on. The don’t ever really pay attention to these things and miss out on major info and details because they do not like klaus because of tvd and it’s so annoying. This is one of the only times klaus reaction was completely justified. None of their betrayals were worse than this one! I wish they’d be a bit more open to klaus character development and his arc. It’s one of the best ever in tv. He is so complex, but is one of those characters you completely start to understand once you pay attention. Majority of his reactions are explained and shown why he is so harsh on his siblings, and it’s all because if mikeal.

Love Klaus and I think he is a great complex character, but maybe if Klaus wasn’t such a horrible brother Rebekah wouldn’t have made that impulsive decision. I get his upbringing is why the way he is, but just because he was raised by a horrible person doesn’t excuse his behavior towards his siblings, especially since they were nothing but loving and loyal to him (Mainly Rebekah and Elijah). Whenever they wanted to make a life outside of Klaus he made sure to destroy it in the most dramatic horrifying way possible. Not to mention he would dagger and leave them in coffins for centuries… Thats why Elijah wanted to un-alive Klaus in TVD… After all he put them through it’s not really a shock that the thought of k!lling him would cross their minds or that they would impulsively try to do it.

@ well no. The show tells us Elijah is devoted to klaus because he watched klaus father abuse him for years and done nothing. He know that abuse created the monster klaus is. Elijah is devoted to bringing back who klaus once was. He knows everything klaus does is a shield of protection. Klaus can’t trust his siblings or anyone because of mikeal. Rebeakah and Elijah knows that which is why no matter what. They always stood by him. Klaus is in no way innocent, by neither are any of them. They have all back stabbed the other before. Klaus is just the one who they put that label on. This why Elijah episode is also very important. And so is this episode now. The point of the show is from there shared experience of trauma they all are effected in different ways. Rebeakah effect is she falls for any man she meets. Klaus tries to protect her, but he does it the wrong way because he wasn’t taught any differently. Elijah trauma is a HUGE spoiler so I won’t explain further, klaus is angry and cannot trust people even when he wants too. They are all fucked up. Klaus is just the one who’s never hid behind it

They have lived for centuries upon centuries to the point they have control over their bloodlust unlike other vampires and even when daggered or starved they are still in control of their selves despite having a ravenous hunger. And they technically aren’t in pain when their asleep it the daggering itself that’s painful because the blade has to be dipped in white oak ash and white oak is painful to them as well as kill them too but afterwards they just decay and go into a state of slumber Rebekah explained this Hayley a few episodes back when she arrived at Elijah’s request to return back to New Orleans.

Not to mention one of the men she was in love with single handedly took out their entire family, and if not for Klaus being a hybrid, that would’ve been the end of the original family. This doesn’t really justify anything Klaus has done to her but he’s just an unfortunate product of their father. Also just to point out, Rebekah also has abandonment issues, and as much as she hated Klaus at certain moments of her life, she always stuck with him throughout the years because he ultimately did love her. He only ever allowed himself to hurt her if he deemed it necessary and anyone else who dared probably didn’t live much longer after doing so. Again doesn’t justify anything but long story short, Mikael sucks, and his kids suck cause he sucks.

After killing off the guy Rebekah wanted to marry in 1820, he stabbed Rebekah in 1835 when she fell in love with Marcel and left her daggered for 52 years (until 1887). So then in 1919, not a full hundred years after that particular cycle of abuse began, she decided she wanted to chase him out of town and lose control over her. And a few years later, Klaus daggers Rebekah when she wants to stop running and stay with Stefan in the main show. Sure it's low to bring their abusive father in, but disgusting... meh. Klaus abused her more steadily than Mikael after she chose to stand by him in defiance of Mikael (all while he was lying about who killed their mother).

And what everyone is forgetting is that this all began back in the TvD season 4 episode 4 The Five. Rebekah fell in love with Alexander who was hunter of vampires. She trusted him and he daggered all the Originals except it didn’t work on Klaus so he was able to get up and killed them all. Rebekah almost had her entire family killed because she was in love with the wrong person. This is why Klaus always killed or rejected Rebekah’s love interest over the centuries because she had bad taste in men and you know how paranoid Klaus is, he left absolutely nothing to chance. Also to mention because of Bekah , Klaus had to endure the Hunter’s curse for over 52 years.

I love Rebekah. She is one of my favorite characters but the way she used and betrayed Genevieve was honestly wrong. In my opinion, Genevieve isn’t a bad character and you guys will maybe see why I think that. She was forced to do something later on against her will that she didn’t want to do. She should’ve lived and Rebekah shouldn’t have killed her.

the paper she burnt in the spell was a note/letter to tell Mikael were his children were. literally in this show the note burns to ashes but it appears either in the air, or a pocket or such of the person it is being sent to. so Mikael got the message. we could consider that and easy spell, i guess. removing a sickness may be a tad more difficult, specially without ingredients, since they were in quarantine he CAN run faster. he DOESNT WANT to. he wants to terrorize Rebekah first. Pay off for how bringing Mikael in would/did? terrorize him, since they have been running from him for a millenia and most paranoia of Klaus comes from that and fear of people betraying him. she did a 2 birds with one stone on herself with that one.

Klaus literally gave his blessings both b4 the opera house burned down Elijah is no saint, but he was the better sibling among all them. And the only two people klaus was willing to die for were his daughter and rebakah. You guys do not like klaus and that is okay. But you guys never pay attention to anything revolving his character complexity and it’s very annoying. It’s explained multiple times klaus is very damaged and the way he is because of the abuse he endured from mikeals as a child. It’s been explained that, that trauma still has hold on klaus. Which is why his baby, is apart of his character arc, in hope klaus becomes the father he’s never had. Mikeal has been trying to kill klaus for years, Rebekah knew that. No amount of daggering klaus has done even come close to that. This is why Elijah biggest mission is to save klaus, because he sat around for years while klaus was getting abused and done nothing, he watched his father take everything klaus was and stripe away his innocence and make klaus what he is today. Elijah feels guilty and hopes to bring back the man klaus once was. This is VERY IMPORTANT. It’s the main point of this show!

He probably got tired of it and thus took matters into his own hands. Additionally, because most of the suitors she picks are people using her, Klaus just kills them. However, there are exceptions like Stefen and Marcel. Hell, Kluas was going to accept Marcel and her together after he realized how serious they were. However, they betrayed him before he could. His actions kinda make complete sense when you think how she has behaved for her whole life.
