The last main scene with Nick and Charlie was heartbreaking and heartwarming. Remember, when filming that scene, Kit and Joe spent nearly 7 hours working on this scene. Filming it over and over again just to get the coverage, as it was filmed single camera. They had to go through those emotions so many times. Now that just shows how superb the acting from Kit and Joe is, I hope you agree guys.

@@lujerex I think there are some out there who feel that if you didn't go to drama school or start off at the bottom in small theatres, then you can't be an actor. That is just wrong. We all have a potential to be an actor. Joe had it, and the casting people of Daniel Edwards saw this and hired Joe. Joe's casting can be seen as a step forward in casting people in TV or movies from now on.

Hearing Charlie say that he doesn't sh now when Nick asked always makes me sad on a personally relatable level cause I don't think he was lying intentionally. It's just that he hasn't fully realized that his self harm comes in multiple forms, not *just* cutting, and that they all count as self harm in the end. Pinching/scratching like he did during their initial conversion after he fainted is an sh method for him, even if he's not clocked on about it yet.

I love the language in that last scene "promise to tell me if it gets that bad again" if someone said that to me when i was going through similar stuff it would have helped me so so much. Instead of saying "promise to stop for me" that puts unwanted pressure and if you do eventually mess up it makes it worse. I had people tell me "stop for me" and when i did eventually mess up because it does happen its normal to mess up but wgen i did it made it even worse because i let people down. The way that Alice wrote that scene makes me so so happy.

I love the contrast Joe and Kit built together in the last scene. I'm obsessed with Joe Locke's performance - he's so subtle and you see how deeply hurt he is, but also how used to masking it he is, even to himself. Whereas Kit plays Nick hearing all this for the very first time, so it's fresh and shocking for him. They just struck such a perfect tone together.

season 3 will definitely center around and tackle charlie’s mental health for sure. they’re not gonna gloss over it, it’s a real reality for many queer people and it deserves that awareness and light. there were plenty hints at his ED in s1 but definitely started to showcase more of it this season as well as revealing other self harm he’s been doing. charlie has been really affected by the bullying, being outed and ben that it has seriously warped his mind and has been fighting this alone the ENTIRETY of s1 and until the last episode of this season he FINALLY vocalized it. though nick won’t really be able to do much because this has to be charlie’s fight. s3 will be heavier and it really is gonna get worse before it gets better for charlie💔 but there is hope.

This episode and your reaction was amazing. The ending was emotionally. Devastating. And I just wanna point out. There was a moment in episode five when Nick asked Charlie about his eating where Charlie very subtly clawed at his arm very subtly under the table. It looks very much like he was pressing his nails into his flesh. Completely aside from being related to shame and OCD and anxiety from being bullied I just wanna put that self harm can be a form of stimming. But it’s maladaptive. Fortunately, Therapy can help. I was shy in high school and i think that's why i suffered a lot of bullying some boys hit me or insulted me and i never defended myself because i was afraid, i guess that allowed them to continue doing it, sometimes they locked me in the bathroom so I was afraid to go to the bathroom during breaks. Now i'm not shy, i can say i'm over it ,but i still find it hard to relate to straight men or having straight friends...most of the time it was those straight guys who were bullying at school. I'm still a bit insecure about myself at times, and I have a bit of self-esteem issues. I guess those are some of the consequences that remained in me until today, there are always sequels on people. (I´m 28 years old now and i'm gay by the way).

I have not read the books but EDs are very complex, and it takes time for one to accept help or realize they do need help. That’s where I think season 3 comes to play and is needed to show the ups and downs of an ED, in this case anorexia nervosa. It is a PROCESS 💯 It will take time. There are good days and bad days, and yes it is crucial to get help sooner rather than later but maybe we will see struggles with actually finding a facility to get treatment. But also just having a support system of his family and friends but also Nick. That is why I think it is important to be educated ❤️ because with not being educated in being understanding and compassionate, really doesn’t help anyone struggling with an ED 💔 since Charlie has been having thoughts in his mind telling him that he’s “worthless” or that he’s a “burden.” And the way he has had a past of SH, that can definitely be a way to cope with his ED. Him getting bullied too could be a factor as well of his ED and just wanting a sense of control, because many bio-psych-social factors can cause the development of an ED 💔

If you read the books - Charlie’s ED is partially to do with the bullying. His eating habits felt like the only thing he could control in his life when everything else was falling apart. So the bullying is to blame as part of it. That last scene DESTROYED me. I cant wait till S3😭
