I'm an OG Pulaski skater and friends with Chris Hall and all the Freedom Plaza OG's, and I remember when Reese blew up. I went on a trip with me, Andy Stone, Carlos Kenner, and Reese down to the Tampa contest in like 1993. We all ended up staying in the same room with Jason Ellis, which was crazy. Reese was always quiet and respectful, and an all around great guy. Fast forward about 6 years, and I'm living in SF, and skating down Market Street, and I hear someone yell "Dan!" It was Reese. For him to remember me was special to me, because I wasn't some player in the skate world. I was just a fellow skate rat. I'll always think of Reese with great memories.

Man Reese Forbes! This guy is a living legend for me growing up skating.. Thinking about the speed and him olling massively tall downtown cement trash cans.. Still gives me chills dude thinking about it. This was great. Have him back!

I was just thinking about Reese Forbes on his 411VM Day in the life from probably 2000. At the end, he was driving his Audi to business school because he was planning for a education for after skateboarding. That stuck me as a teenager to be such a smart move. Looking at some of the older pros from the 90s now that are lost and struggling, I think this is a big opportunity to remind skaters to plan ahead.

The best thing about the Nine Club interviews is they are never the same. While it's always the interviewee's journey of childhood>sponsorship>going pro>etc, they each weave their own cool tale that never feels repetitive or stale. I think this is due to the three distinct personalities of Roger, Kelly, and Chris, all pulling from their different memories and taking the stories a different way. Thanks, guys.

A jog down memory therapy lane 😁 Much respect to Reese for being a major influence on me and my skating. The early Pulaski footy, that one element video with that legendary mini ramp sesh 'name an element - fire, water, earth, wind', first division wheel company, fukn eastern exposure.... The list of inspiration is huge. Also big shout out to anyone who ran and got caught, boards taken away and fined by police or any other form of authority

I remember Reese! Share the same birthday, went to Jr High and a little high school together. He lived up the street in Gaithersburg and we use to skate together. All of us knew Reese was going to hit it big. This was somewhere around 89 to 91.
