For this song, I wanted to express happiness through carefree and natural movements, & I'm so glad we were able to show that through this DIY music video! I'm not a dancer by any stretch, but shooting this with my sister was an exercise of letting go of my inhibitions and just acting by pure feeling. When I finished writing What Is This Feeling? back in 2018, I was dancing around our living room, just bursting for joy. I wanted to capture that elation again. I hope this song inspires you to dance, sing, laugh, cry, and open yourself up to life and all its possibilities. Love, pain, bliss, and wonder - let's feel it all.

This song describes happiness, freedom, letting go, or whatever feeling that is. I'm sure it's good. But, this song brings a different kind of feeling to me. My last girlfriend and I broke up over quarantine, all my fault really. We used to listen to Reese together using our earphone splitters. We got matching Reese phone covers, and analyze lyrics like champs. I even asked Reese to record a message for her birthday. She has Reese's inflictions and little gestures. Now, every time I watch or listen to any of Reese's songs, I'm reminded of her. The sad songs become way sadder, and the happy songs tend to sound melodramatic. This song, particularly, hits hard. She has moved on from me, and my unsustainable well-being that is too much and too unfair for anyone to handle. I am genuinely happy for her. This song completely describes whatever she is feeling now being able to finally let go and move on from a rather tragic ending we had. It was a lot of pain I left, and I'm happy she is dancing barefoot on the grasses now with someone I fully trust. It'll take me time to listen to Reese not being able to think about her anymore, and finally enjoy her songs solely for myself, without hints of the past. But right now...this song is a sad song for me. I envy that feeling, and I pray every night that I would wake up to feel it, having wings so I could finally fly away. Finally, fly away. Tell me, how does it feel?

My friend, I'm giving you a big hug right now. Navigating relationships and breakups - - that's hard. More so in this pandemic when it's hard to get proper closure. All I know is that I feel you and I am with you. I know that you are not alone in whatever you're feeling. The loneliness and pain are intense emotions, but trust that time heals all. It will definitely be a hard journey, but please take it day by day. I totally get that feeling of listening to a particular song and just being taken back to both happy and sad memories. That's the power of music. It can accompany us on our best and worst days. Take a break from listening to my music and heal first. In time, you will encounter this again in a different state and perhaps, you'll be giving a small smile as a nod to the past and an invitation to the future. Take care man!
