I bought the chef's knife 6 weeks ago. I have arthritis and have difficulty gripping the western type of knife handle, the handle on your knife is the perfect shape for me, nice and big and easy to hold. The blade is great as well, good and sharp, very well designed and for someone with arthritis, very easy to use, I love it.

Hi Refika, I just got some of these products. I got the those lovely tea glasses you designed, the chef's knife, and the skewers to make kebabs. I was so pleased with them and with the quality, the packaging, and the instructions that came with the chef's knife. I plan to get the cutting board and other items as well. I have a suggestion as well if you don't mind. I am very interested in getting a çay dan lik as the one you used in this show. 👌👌👌 I wish you would sell those in different colours. We can buy çay dan liks here too from Turkish stores or buy them online, but I don't like those designs as much as the one I saw you using. Do you think you could make that available as one of your Refika'dan products on Etsy as well??? Would love to buy it!

ANYTHING food cooking or baking related is a BIG help!! I'm here in Arizona, USA, watching your product line video you have . Some great stuff! I know modern technology can be a big pain, but it has brought the countries of the world together. Different countries still have their own unique cultures, but also, there is now SO MUCH shared lifestyles as well, making visiting another very much familar and like "home," and yet experiencing the uniqueness of that country. Like, no matter where you go, your at home. Thanks to KZbin we get awesome experiences from all around the world and from the comments people from all around the world are watching and gathering new ideas and information at the same time. We, in the world are no longer strangers. We have now become united To me this is HUGE! To me this is how it should be.This means to me putting differences aside as we are a lot more the same than different. Sure love watching your channel. Turkey is nolonger a place far, far away across the ocean, some place you've heard of and know exists, but now a very familiar and tangible country, a place I could sure spend some time at. So cool!❤

I feel lucky to own a number of Refika's products and the quality of each item is amazing! A few were gifted to me by family members. All of the knives on her Etsy site are exceptional and will be used daily in my household for many years to come. They are beautifully made. I compaired prices of chef's knives for weeks and Refika's are more affordable and better designed than what else I had found out there. The olive oil and the pomegranate sour are the best quality I have ever tasted. The funnel set is perfect. I have had only good experiences with purchases I have made from her Etsy store and will be collecting more of her products. They are worth every penny and reasonably priced. And I love knowing the purchases support traditional Turkish-made, quality, often hand made, very special products. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Refika and team! I appreciate that you share your wonderful food and beautiful culture with all of us!

Seeing how much Turkish people love their cay, and their beautiful Gonlubol, reminded me of when I visited Morocco with their hospitality ritual of the Moroccan mint tea. Your comment regarding drinking whisky from the same glass reminded me so much of Whisky Maroccaine, as they call it also. Probably because the sweetened mint tea looks very similar to whisky, and being a predominately Muslim country, they mostly don't drink alcohol, but everyone drinks mint tea. I love the products you featured here Refika, and also the fact that you are using your platform to support local artisans and small producers! Much love to you and your team from New Zealand!

If you could update the show notes or pin a comment to let us know when you may restock these wonderful things, it would be so helpful. Şimşir is boxwood. I love it too! My housemate laughed when I brought home wooden spoons from my last trip to Turkey, but he used them one time and was convinced! Aside from those, I think my most-used Turkish implement is my little brass pepper mill with the cap on the bottom, which makes it easy to measure freshly ground pepper. Some of these things (offset spatula, canning funnel) are fairly available where I live, though many home cooks might not be aware of them. But I’ve never seen a cutting board like that, and what a great idea! The tombul tea glass is genius, and beautiful too. (I drink whisky from Turkish tea glasses too!) I also love the spice rack, but then you still need another place to store the rest of the spices. Because I can imagine the face of an Eminönü ahtarcı if you ask him to sell you 4 grams of pul biber…😱 Love your channel!

I am only watching this video now. I hope Refika reads it. I enjoy watching your show and girlfriend it's as if you read my mind. I'm trying to revamp my kitchen and I have been looking for some Turkish styles of different things. I am in Canada and one thing we Canadians complain of, is that companies from other continents seem to want to squeeze every bit of juice they can from us, things are overpriced. We are interested in paying the fair price and I hope you keep that in mind, imagine how much businesses these overpriced companies lose from Canucks who know better. Anyway, after spilling my heart out, I want to ask: do you suppose you can have a cutlery set made from nothing but silver with gem stones? I would love a bit of luxury like that for special occasions. The towels are one thing I'm after, but also aside from tea towels, can you produce bath towels? I'm also dreaming of loose beautiful teas such as rose, and other spices.....girl, I can go on for hours making my wish known but I will leave it as is for now....take care.

Can @Refika's Kitchen crew explain how exactly genetically modified crops are "so bad"? Since most of the crops that are in use today are already result of selective breeding from centuries ago, when there were no laboratories around and gene cropping techniques? Hence, them "organic" crops that "are the same as they were thousand years ago" are also result of gene manipulation by selective breeding.
