it’d be so much more aesthetic if people like this took their cutesy containers into a bulk store and refilled them without all the waste. some of the laundry stuff may be hard to come by in that sense, but food products like juices, grains, seasonings, oils, nut butters are all easy to find as bulk items where you take what you need without so much trash.

Where can you find in bulk stores tho like are they common?
@Alex-eb9gc2 жыл бұрын
@@andie9179 sometimes they’re hard to come by, but i know some grocery stores that have smaller bulk sections where they just sell dry beans, grains, coffee, and other snacks in bulk where i live. even if it’s just food that you bring your own containers to fill up, it really makes a difference in waste. I live in California so I have access to places such as Sprouts, Whole Foods, Smart and Final, etc. But you can always just search up “bulk bin stores near me”. If you have the benefit of being able to access stores such as these or other bulk stores, you can start by weighing the container you need to fill and label it with that weight so you can subtract that amount from the cost when you fill it up. if you don’t, you can make smaller changes outside of your home. like when buying groceries, bring your own bags to separate items or don’t bag your fruit and vegetables at all, and avoid buying pre-bagged items. and bringing your own bags to load at the end of trip really helps. Try getting items packaged with paper, aluminum, or glass (easy to recycle). and although it can be tedious, you can try to find products sourced more locally, because even if it’s packaged in plastic, it took a lot less waste to get to the store. farmer’s markets are also really helpful! i understand not everyone is lucky enough to have access to bulk stores, especially bulk stores that sell detergent or other cleaning and household products. one small thing i’ve done lately to try and reduce my footprint is just simply not grabbing a bag to put fruit or veggies in. i just grab them from the pile, as many as i need, and put them in my cart as they are. and i reuse plastic bags for trash cans as well as paper bags, or sometimes i’ll just take them back to the store and use them again.

Things going from a perfectly good box to a clear, glass container for no other reason than it looks nice. But realistically, this actually takes more time and energy than it needs to for the sake of pretty things. In all honesty, im surprised that products don't just come in a glass container with a removable cardboard insert for a label in the store, so people don't have to spend hours to reinsert items from one container to another. Like the one lady where the soda labels all had to face the same way. It's an orange fanta can, love, are you afraid that you will forget what pop you got in the fridge? XD

No, some of it can be for mental reasons. I know this kind of stuff makes me actually want to clean, knowing I can make things all pretty. And it reduces boxy big clutter, which drives me crazy. Oh I love York peppermint patty.I had those so often when I took change from my buildings shop for laundry.Like what’s also featured here as product restocking asmr.

Just because something says flushable it doesn't mean it should be. It can still block drains and sewers. So much plastic being emptied here. Hope it gets recycled

The great thing about making videos about restocking food or laundry or whatever is that you can rewatch the video and figure out where you set some stuff in case you lost it

I kinda like the aesthetic behind all this, I have to admit that. But if I already have all those glass containers, I would probably just go to one of the zero waste shops to refill them in the shop, without all the waste of the packaging.

I love how organised they are! It makes me feel fresh. I do get how most of you don’t see the point though I think its to be aesthetic and to be extremely organised. In my opinion its cool how organised you can be. If I wanted to be organised i wouldn’t do this i would just organise the things in there normal containers but Like into sections. But I have to admit there are satisfying to watch. And I’m not American lol-

Its crazy that people complain about how people organize their own space. They dont hurt anybody. Everyone has their reason. I do it because it saves my food from moths, and some containers are just too bulky so it saves a lot of space. Do what fits your livestyle! It doesnt matter if your asian american european african or whatever

This would be very kind to walk into an air b&b or a guest home to see all these amenities. You can see how clean the products are through glass and plastic. Another reason this makes sense is if someone has a disabled loved one or patient who can be self sufficient in their home if they are provided easily accessible containers. I saw one woman who on KZbin reels who posted about her brother in a guest house they built him on the property, and she had all these little containers for his home and a "supply store" was mentioned, which lead me to believe he just requests more products in his accessable containers throughout his home, or maybe makea a list of items like a grocery list.

now this is what i call AESTHETIC, this is really pleasing to watch, its a good idea to put everything in containers. 🫙 when i’m old enough to own a house i am DEFINITELY gonna do this! (refill all containers aesthetically, have everything in my fridge so neat and pleasing) its just so satisfying to look at!! 😆🤙🏽👏🏼

This is SO relaxing to watch but to consider actually doing all this makes me anxious and overwhelmed af. Kudos to you, this is brilliant though. Also, can I just pay you to do this for me? It would bring me so much comfort to live in such a well organized home that I didn't feel so much pressure to keep up with it. I love clean things but hate cleaning like why tf is that a thing?! 😅😳😖

I think the second one is the most reasonable, they didn't put the milk/juice in glass container and having to also keep the excess in the og container.

But the real question is for example if u pour carrots in a container and put it in the fridge there should be some extra carrots so where do u put them bc if u put them back in the fridge theres no point in having a container full of carrots and a bag half full

it really baffles me that so many people are upset about “the waste” of doing this. as if taking one thing and putting it into something else is somehow making more waste than leaving it in the same packaging. you’re going to throw away that original packaging regardless? so if people want to put things into reusable containers that are either more aesthetically pleasing for someone, for freshness, organization, or because it helps with space, i really don’t see the issue.
