youd think combing refineries and chem plants together to increase output and decrease waste wouldve been done by now. the integration with honeywells cloud system for optimization is what truly blew my mind. when i think oil and petrol i usually associate it with old tech and ways of thinking but god damn this is gorgeous.

If many refineries begin producing chemicals, could that make the value of chemicals go down as they become more abundant? I suppose it will probably still be more profitable than producing gasoline/diesel as the demand will continue to steadily go down through the end of the century.

How does a refinery boil Crude oil? Do they use only electricity? Do they use some kind of fuel in the furnace? I need to know and for some reason have trouble finding the answers I seek.

O well maybe not then. I found a company that sold electric setups specifically for refineries and the like. What gas is used? Where does it come from?
