If you go on devacurl’s website you can find a certified deva stylist that has been trained to work with curly hair. I think there is 4 levels, 4 being the highest. I was lucky enough to find someone who completed the devacurl courses but is no longer affiliated with them so she doesn’t use their products.

Amen! I live in a smallish town and it’s near impossible to find someone to cut my hair! Every time I see her bust out the thinning shears I damn near lose it! 😂

@@derainbo349 Yes they are very expensive which is why I'm so lucky to have found my stylist because she doesn't do them anymore but still knows all the techniques. Also you would be surprised at how many stylists are willing to work with your budget. Doesn't hurt to ask!

But it takes more than a good hairstylist. You have to be committed to your hair and styling it. Curly hair is not wash and wear.

Ombré and balayage is done using bleach. It doesn’t just strip the hair of its pigment, but also moisture. Having a large portion of the previous blonding work chopped off as well as proper curl products really helped to bring it back to life and restore that hydration. Hope that makes sense!

That's normal, curly hair looks like this when you don't use any product to make the curls more structured. Also, the oil from her scalp doesn't reach the end as easy as a straight hair, that's why her hair looks like this.

She clearly didn’t look after her hair before. Her hair looks so much better afterwards, hope she continues to look after her hair. Like you can still have long beautiful curls as long as it’s looked after properly. My hair is curly and just as long as hers and my hair doesn’t look how it was in the ‘Before’. Mine looks like the ‘After’.

@@guilhermeh.4313 hmmmm, idk. The pictures she showed of her past hairstyles made it seem like she never understood what curly hair even is. She was shocked when she saw the after, and the way she touched it and modeled it seemed awkward and unfamiliar. I really don't think she's seen her natural texture before.

That looks amazing. The only feedback i have as a hair stylist is to avoid the middle part. It is dragging down her face visually emphasizing weight at her jaw that isn't there. That is why the stylist did the part on the side. It gives the style height and body thus balancing out the weight of her hair.

I just cut about 7 inches from mine. I feel like some hair dressers/stylists don’t like working on my hair cause it’s thick. It takes a long time to dry and style it lol but I really wanted a change. Wow I learned a lot from this video on how to style the hair to emphasize the curls. I have wavy hair snd I think I’ll be able to style it better now

@@amyg8176 I was going to say that. My wash ang go routine takes less than 20 min, including all bath and styling. You don't have to do it, and even this routine is faster than iron a 3c 4a hair like mine, for example.

I went to a curly hair studio here in tempe ... bloom something and girl I thought they were gonna work me over. I got a deep condition slight trim a bunch of gel and a bill for $120. 🤦🏾♀️

Looks okay. In the future she could still keep her long curly hair. She just needs long layers that way it’s not flat and also find the right products for her hair since it was really dry.

Who knows how it turned out.. looks great but she put a lot of product and hand arranged each curl.. Every time I get my hair done I say "no products!" I hate not being able to tell what my hair actually looks like because they put expensive products in that I won't have at home, then they try to sell them to me. 🙃

I recommend “Curly Girl” book to my clients to better understand how to work it. Good cut, use prouduct, diffuse , and don’t brush it out when it’s dry.👍
