I like how make up artists do such an amazing job of doing makeup like a refined and mature artist whereas make up gurus just slap on layers of makeup! Anyone agree? ☺️

Oh absolutely. I remember when I was young (I'm a millennial and I'm talking prior to KZbin,) my mom would get me makeup books from the library. I remember reading Kevyn Aucoin's books several times, and it was like this video. Makeup used like a fine wine... not a beer keg. Then KZbin came along, and now all the "influencers" do is drag makeup, which is amazing!) but no traditional glamour makeup tutorials. It's the difference between a makeup artist and a cake-up artist. Just caking on layers of makeup, like you said!

Har Yes! they use the same techniques but its always just looks f l a w l e s s, and so much lighter! without facetune influencers often look cakey (not that this is bad, it’s just some people’s preference) but even with a smokey eye, Mi anne was still glowing and not aged or harsh looking.

The eye shadow placement was life altering with the dark at the bottom. It made your eyes pop by celebrating their shape rather than trying to alter it. Brilliant

This was a good video. I like Meghan's look and I am a brunette also with the same shape eyes and similar skin color. I don't know why however there was no foundation or any primer at all on the eyes before the shadow and liner? If I did that, no primer or foundation on my eyes, my liner would run and smear later. I also need tiny bit of liner in my lower water line as it softens my eyes a bit more.
