I grew up in that area (el Monte Flores) and have heard of Johnny. I am not in any hood, but I grew up with a lot of gang members. I know a lot of Flores members and only a few from other gangs. Johnny was one of the few non Flores members that I have heard of. He does have uncles that are big homies and his name did carry some weight.
