I can't help but agree. I love this band, and I love the updated vocals but they sound so quiet in the mix on the new version and overall the bass sounds so watered down.

the thing is that they used different tunings (lower) on many songs which turned them into muddy mess, just like fantasy effect redux. They should have kept the original tunings, and that would be awesome

Patrick (guitarist with purple guitar) has confirmed they are writing new music and has posted little demos on Instagram. Charles (the other guitarist) left the band and now has a project with his wife called "Berried Alive". Jake (the vocalist) has a solo, ambient project called "Omiah" and Francis (the bassist) left to pursue photography and focus on personal life.

Genuinely stoked to see their new project. This is a band I have been following since day one. TFE remains one of my favorite albums. Seen them live like 5 times. I got to see them at their farewell show in 2017, I hope that isn’t the end.
