This is not how radiant barriers work. Please don't waste customer's hard earned money. Radiant barrier needs a gap in between to function properly.
@BuildwithHD6 ай бұрын
@super-z8943 Yes, you are right. In a typical radiant barrier like plain radiant barrier foil, an air gap is necessary for it to work effectively. However, we are using an 8mm thick bubble sheet layered with pure aluminum foil on both sides, which works differently from traditional radiant barriers. While it performs better with an air gap, it's not mandatory for this particular product. Without an air gap, its efficiency may reduce by approximately 20 to 30%, but it will still function effectively. By using this method, we help our customers save money by reducing labor costs. Please check our other video where we include an air gap. However, this requires additional labor, which can be a significant expense for some customers. Therefore, we need to choose the right installation method based on the customer's budget and needs. As a service provider, it's crucial to balance customer budget considerations and scientific principles. As a science enthusiast, I can confirm that while an air gap is beneficial for radiant barriers, it is not always necessary for our specific product. here is the video link kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYPNZGeJerGrr6s

@@BuildwithHD Ok, here is my take on this. If you perfectly glue a radiant barrier ( single sheet foil) on the inner side of the roof sheet, it will have zero effectiveness. Now, since you are not gluing the barrier to the sheet and bubble-foil surface isn't perfectly flat levelled, there are some pockets of gaps where the radiant barrier is still working to some degree. That is how it is still 'working'. Economics of installing a gap is another concern, hope you have made your customers aware of the compromise they are making. Interesting part is the 2nd foil on the bubble sheet. When the 1st foil fails due to inadequate gap, the 2nd foil comes to rescue and works as expected, as it has decent gap due the air bubbles. But then the 1st foil reflects back this heat reflected by the 2nd foil. This will heat up the surrounding air via convection heating. So, none of this is working in an efficient way. A solution of this would be radiant barriers with single foil installed with foil side inwards. This will give the necessary gap and customer won't have to pay for double foil barriers.

@@super-z8943 Yes ,we always tell people to give air gape but sometimes people want to save money so they use this method so we cant say No 1: Yes your explanation is 100% right im agreed
