Thanks Mike! I’ve been seeing you grinding, one tip I wanted to say last time is sometimes when I stream yt shorts I’ll pull in 100-250. It’s worth a shot if you want to try it.

He never measured if his flywheel was flat and parallel to the crank end. He only measures that is was less than 5 thou across a very small area. Maybe that's why his pressure plate is rubbing. He's fixing the symptom, not the problem. That's why you START by taking the flywheel to a machine shop and have it cut perfect.

It’s obvious you didn’t watch the whole video. My fly wheel has an 1/4 inch lip around the outer edge so I was unable to use my longer straight edge like I did on the floater plates later in the video. An no I wasn’t going to hack up that straight edge I use it to check cylinders heads to. This was a budget friendly option, not all machine shops are willing to resurface flywheels.

I think that’s better suited for when you can run it across the whole surface with no obstruction. The fly wheel had an outer lip and the floater plates have springs on them.
