you performed this on a multicore CPU, did you do anything to keep the active thread on the same CPU? While the results clearly speak for themselves, i feel context switching could introduce some noise into the data.

Consider to use a spell checker for your slides or ask a colleague for a review (e.g. cash != cash)

" (e.g. cash != cash)" There is a non-zero chance that when correcting someone's spelling, you will misspell something.
