Beautiful, Stunning. What a wonderful daughter you are to take care of your mom. I am a retired psych nurse and have taken care of patients with Alzheimer and have watched many patients be put into an Alzheimer's unit by their children who then forgets about them. Very heart breaking.

Thank you! I could never have left my mom in a nursing facility. It was such an honor to take care of her. She passed away in 2019 and I miss her so much. Sweetest woman I have ever known. Working in hospice for years helped me to know exactly what to do to care for her. I used to have patients who were left at nursing facilities also and sometimes I would leave and just cry for them because their children never visited.

Carol, you’ve outdone yourself! Love these. I also want to tell you, I was so touched & felt the love about your Mother. What a sweet, cute story. I lost my Mom in 2008 at age of 79 to Alzheimer’s. I made so many memories with her and took lots of photos. She loved her finger nails painted red, which I did them the last days. I also played her favorite music when I was a child, Jim Reeves. She seemed to come alive every time I played his cd. You and your Mother are so blessed to have this time. God bless you. Thank you also for ALL your beautiful crafts. I just subscribed.

Carol, bless your heart for being such a loving and kind daughter. What you are doing isn't always easy. You have a wonder outlook, which will help you in caring for your Mother. I was a care giver to many members of my family, I feel glad I had the chance to make their lives a little easier. Beautiful work I love your choice of materials. I would ask one thing though if you're not using felt and you wanted to use another type of material what are the dimensions that you would cut it to. Also those hanging down Parts as you say I believe or called medallions. Like I said wonderful work and thank you so much for this tutorial
@refunctioncrafts49285 жыл бұрын
Thank you and I appreciate the feedback very much! The dimensions are 4 1/2” wide X 10” long. Another thing I should add is that you should always use your compact as a basis for your measurements. When I make my compacts, some are embellished with a lot of jewels and things that add girth to the piece and some don’t have much at all. That will make a difference in the inner space required to hold the compact comfortably. Thanks again for your comments! It helps me to be more mindful of what others may want to know.
