The elderly are the main victims of these assholes so whenever they get one on the line they probably think "ez money" and I think they're more willing to put up with the antics because they've gotten so many other older people that they think if they just stay patient they'll eventually get the money.

I told a scammer my name is Harry Boles. He called me Harry Boles for an hour. He didn't like me playing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" on the dial pad but said it was a nice song anyway. He claimed I would get $100 in gift cards so I argued it's supposed to be $300, he said no problem. He completed his whole script & seemed to think it was successful but the name, address, cc, everything was bogus but I made everything but the name sound real. He even accepted the address to the White House. At one point, I argued for about 10 minutes that "I have too much money already, my pockets are too full, my safe is full & the bank wouldn't accept any more money".

I’ll be honest there are times where he’s playing a grandma and the scammers are screaming “SHUT THE FUCK UP” solely because Kitboga’s character sounds so gentle and polite and they’re on a power trip and I just wish he (ie his character) would snap, lose her shit and go “no, YOU shut the FUCK UP, BUCKAROO!” and we just listen to the scammers sit there in stunned silence while granny demeans them with a mix of profanity and old-timey lingo. Then after a bit she goes “I’m sorry, excuse me, the medication is supposed to be helping with this, I’m really very sorry” and switches back to sweet old lady for like half an hour, then, when they go back to being comfortable disrespecting her, loses her shit again and repeats the process

I think it would be funny to try a deliberately confusing phonetic alphabet every time you need to spell something to a phone scammer. Something like "O for Ouija Board" or "C for Cue".
