This is the way I interpreted the song by this meaning. (Generally, the left-wing is characterized by an emphasis on "ideas such as freedom, equality, fraternity, rights, progress, reform and internationalism" while the right-wing is characterized by an emphasis on "notions such as authority, hierarchy, order, duty, tradition, reaction and nationalism".) That's why I agree with you. So basically I took it as...don't be somebody sitting in the middle waiting for change...take action...because silence gets you no where. So I think I can see this songs lyrics seen from both political parties views. But I just took it as...we are all in this together and we just need the best person for the job to fight for ALL peoples freedom! The hate and violence needs to end. I actually wasn't born until after these guys broke up. I followed a lot of bands that they inspired when I was a kid, though (Paramore, Linkin Park, etc.). It wasn't until Cyberpunk came out that I got into this band and realized they were one of the major influences on my music taste just through their cultural impact. I wish I started listening to them much earlier, but there's no better time to start than right now.
