I wish Regé's breakthrough was not happening during the pandemic because it would have been so cool for him to be doing these interviews live on TVs sets and not from his home. Hope he experiences something as big in the future again. Best of luck Regé !

Yes me too. But it was times that he finally gets his breakthrough. He's so talented, so smart, kind and intelligent. I'm so happy for him.

@@cjk7063 yesss! I hope this is just the beginning for him because in hollywood sometimes you just have one hit and thats it people tend to forget you.....

The pandemic hit the industry quite hard, and i also wish we could see the cast interact directly face-to-face rather than through facetime but the magnitude of Regé's talent (and Phoebe's, and everyone really) reassures me that we will be seeing plenty of him/them in the near future. From what i understood, Regé has been really selective over the roles he wants to take, to avoid being typecasted (happens quite alot in Hollywood) and this is his open window to a bigger audience that i am more than sure, has already landed him quite a few scripts for him to read through. Also, in another interview, he confessed he loved that although he reached this bigger audience, he still gets to live a rather "actor normal life" and gets to go to the shop and not be recognized because of the mask. Weird times we are living in but glad they are making it work. I am patiently waiting for him to do one of those "Regé-Jean Page answers the Web's most searched questions" or the GQ "10 things i can't live without" or a podcast,
@MLW3743 жыл бұрын
@@SoniaThecurlchic which interview was the one that he mentioned about not being recognized?Can you please send the link? I like the fact that he is very sélective and hope he gets more success because it is indeed hard to get out of the string that Hollywood attached to you so easily. Some sad examples include the actors who played 50 shades of Grey or even those who played Titanic! Leonard tried hard to stay away from romantic movies for this reason. I am afraid Rege might decline interviews that are not about his work because he is extremely private and seem to not want to give any hints about his personal life. I dont blame him... this world is cruel.
@SoniaThecurlchic3 жыл бұрын
@@MLW374 Sorry, don't quite know what interview it was but i heard him saying it. Totally agree with you: Hollywood has an old habit of typecasting people regardless of their talent. It is like, you will never consider Kevin Hart for a role that it is not comedy. You consider a latino, to play a LATINO, instead of "oh, you are talented so i want you to be the lead". I think he (Regé) is so eloquent and smart and obviously chooses roles where he will play someone complex. That is why him being 007 would not be too far off. He has done all types of roles so far and the more they come, i feel the more complex and awesome they seem to be

The last question, which was brilliant, I feel like Rege felt a bit embarrassed to answer lightly after Phoebe's answer, but I think Phoebe had more time to think and Rege was more spontaneous. Anyway they are both excellent people, intelligent and very beautiful. I love them 😍😍😍

How many interviews did they do that day!!😳😳 i saw a few interviews and they were wearing the same clothes!! Damn i would have been tired to do that a whole day!!
@SoniaThecurlchic3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they have done plenty of interviews and it gets more tiring when they are being asked the same questions over and over again, so for an interviewer to come and throw a curve ball and allow them to discuss not just the intimate scenes but also the complexity of the characters would be great. But hey, at least they are in the comfortability of their own homes, instead of being out all day doing press tour

@@stardom6055 Have yet to watch it but will surely give it a go. I studied journalism in uni and i particularly enjoy interviews and storytelling even though i am not a journalist, so it does frustrate me to see how little effort these people have put into trying (at the very least) understand the plot, the drama, the characters, the complexity and so much more. There's room to talk about toxic masculinity, sex education, how trauma has the ability to shape someone, female empowerment in regency-era, love. I mean i could go on with the list of things far better to question them about rather than the sex scenes (they are very hot and very well put together and applaud them for them, but let's talk about the other important matters too, you know?)
