Honestly,? Nothing he couldn't have done himself. What is unbelievable is the length some males would go just because they are either lazy or prone to nonsensical trends, i.e. hipsterisms. How can they not do something so easy as shaving their beard? They haven't got good taste, that's why. So never mind how well groomed this guy looks now: those looks do not represent his education and aesthetic taste ( which was represented by the previous looks) so it probably won't last long.

Sitting here smiling and kind of shaking my head at how great this transformation turned out. It's always a bit of holding your breath when you take that first big cut, we've all wondered "why, WHY?" and it was no different here and, he looks like a new person. I love that he really takes his time cutting and that he keeps checking and rechecking to make sure there’s no obvious stray hair sections. I wish I could find a hairstylist who is as meticulous, but not charge a week’s salary. Not that I don’t appreciate the exceptional work, but not everyone can afford what salons charge, unfortunately.

Superlative - what a handsome, yet natural, man he has created. Dan knows his craft inside out and never disappoints. What a pity he doesn’t style ladies hair😢. Not only is the cut impeccable but his styles are easy to maintain out of the salon and he discusses more what his client is looking for and actually listens to what he wants. I have zero confidence in ladies stylists but I’d be happy to give Dan carte Blanche and know it would be perfect. He is a true artist - it is a joy to watch the new style evolve.

Great Job! My grandfather was a barber, he had a shop in Chester, PA- USA with his brother. We used to go there as kids and get the "buzz" cut. We would sit on the bar that would rest across the arms of his chair. When he was done, I can still remember how the back of my head felt like velvet. He would shave people with a straight razor, and sharpen it with the leather strap that would hang from his chair. He'd clean the spittoons every day, and pull a few teeth too (real old school)- I've learned to cut hair as well...

You guys in the UK are the absolute best imho. My background is cosmetology. I went to school in the 70s and had advanced training from some Vidal Sassoon instructors. However, when I look back now I wished I would’ve gone to barbering school. Hair cutting was always my favorite thing. The chemistry in cosmetology is fine and I was quite well trained in it. But it still wasn’t cutting hair. We used a lot of your techniques too, like scissor over comb, clipper over comb, etc. But when I was first learning precision cutting I found there wasn’t as much freedom as you all have. Every little snip and clip was considered before cut. Gah, it was maddening. Thanks for this video. It is excellent!
