Acting is an art and should explore more imaginative features than having shallow conversations about whether a magnificent actor like Rege should be cast in the role of an action figure. How strange, when watching him on Bridgerton, I thought he was reclusive, but how can that be being an Actor, so I wasn't surprised when his cast members said this. He is a very intelligent man, very poetic with his words, because of his intelligence he's enthralling to listen to. His character annoyed me, I wanted to slap him senseless sometimes "you stupid man" but that was his character role. I hated so much about Bridgerton that there was only 1 thank you spoken to staff: Lady Danbury when her footman helped her into her mansion. The last scene of Rege and Daphney in bed was a letdown. I hate to see overexposed bodies, but a nightdress, why bother taking off your dressing gown, wardrobe needed to do better, that scene needed flesh on flesh without too much exposure. The seduction scene was superbly done, and very poetically acted by Pheobe. Rege did well falling for that trick. As for it being rape, get a grip! Brings back a memory with my husband, so men, take a lesson in the art of seduction by a woman. There weren't too many body parts, yes a lot of action, but it didn't come across as sordid, you could tell a woman was the director of that episode. When Pheobe held out her arms on the bed to Rege, that needs to be made a sculpture of. The sculpture of "the lovers" is very well known and prized, she did better than that sculpture. Makeup was superb, you really thought they were "at it" not acting in the final bed scene when he decides to stay. But from resting on his right arm then as quick as a flash he was resting on his left arm, that's when the makeup changed. I notice these things more because I'm left-handed and always look at people arms, what hand do they use. I have to choose who is best, everyone had something to offer, all the characters got me crying, laughing, or angry, so they all have something that is BEST. For me it was Elosie, her facial expressions were classic, Benedict was great, ALL made Bridgerton even the extras, their costumes, and so many to coordinate. The series would be very boring without the extras. So I will say "BRIDGERTON" was my favourite actor(s) gosh I feel like Daphney at the Fayre "all pigs won" hahaha.

Bond fans do not want Page as Bond. Bond is white with a very imperialistic white British heritage. His fans who are not typical Bond fans may want him as Bond, but true 007 fans don't. He's not Bond.

Simon, the Duke of Hastings was also written as a white character. There were a lot of people who felt he shouldn't play the role. However, Regé Jean Page embodied that character so well that he has won and was nominated for several awards. He has been casted in multiple roles following Bridgeton... his talent supercedes the color of his skin or his undeniable good looks.
