Greatly appreciate this video! could not have come at a better time for me as mine was starting to get plugged up by fly ash. Thank you so much!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Just had an i1500 installed. I'll need to do this sometime during the burn season, or at the end. Your presentation was fantastic!

I'm back and I followed your process. It worked great. I had been using the stove almost continuously for 2 months, letting it burn out and cleaning it every evening about 6 or 7pm, then recharging it and feeding it until noon the next day. I used q-tips to clean the catalyst. The greatest difficulty was in removing the air tubes. I hammered on the side of the vise grips, just like you did, and it worked, but I was concerned about the rough treatment of the tubes, and the tubes failing early in their life because they experience so much temperature cycling and then the hard knocking and squeezing during removal. Near the notch on the right end, each tube appeared to have been bent around the notch from the force from hammering (not sure if it was always bent. To preclude the need for future hammering, I filed the metal around the tube notch so that it slips in and out of the holes more easily. I hope the filing did not affect the tubes' functioning or longevity. On a different topic, the side retaining clips fall off all the time during normal use. I tend to bump into the tubes and baffles when loading the firebox, and this ends up knocking off the retaining clips. Do you have any insight about how to keep the clips from falling out?

Nope. I’ve knocked mine out the same way you describe on a couple occasions too. I don’t think it’s a good design, and I question their necessity.

I need help... what is the outside diameter of the secondary air tubes
@ProductiveRecreation4 ай бұрын
I’m not 100% sure but I believe all the Regency secondary air tubes are 0.75 inch diameter, with length varying by stove. They are notched/keyed on the end to lock into the stove.

@@ProductiveRecreation Thank you very much for your response, I am manufacturing a stove for my home and I am looking to replicate that type of combustion chamber with that type of double combustion, that is why I was asking for help to know the diameter of the secondary air inlet pipes, I do not live in the United States. united, greetings from CHILE 🇨🇱
