👸🏽 Period romances were my favorite books when I was younger. I used to buy books from Walmart when they were $3.88. Back then, they didn’t have any urban books on the shelves.

I read God Don’t Like Ugly as a child and have been looking to add it to my collection. I’ve really been trying to thrift it and wasn’t having much luck but I love the new cover so it worked out. 🤗

I’ve had this book (Aphrodite) low on my TBR for awhile, admittedly bc the Goodreads ratings threw me off. This vlog just sold me and I downloaded it on Libby. Didn’t even know it was a series so that’s even more fun

I’ve read two other books from her (The Perfect Marriage and You Shouldn’t Have Come Here) and I feel like her writing has improved with this newest one. The other two were just ok for me but this one is definitely better. I’ve never read any regency romance books, I’m curious about it now

👸🏾Thank you for the book series recommendation. All of JJ McAvoy’s books seem to be highly rated on Amazon. I have not watched Bridgerton but all the hype over it makes me wonder if I’m missing out.
