I grew up in church with the knowledge of who Christ was. Prayed that prayer and believed I was saved. Not until later in life when I was so lost and stuck addicted to drugs did I encounter Him. He found me. All I cried out was God help me. I cannot describe it in words but my eyes were opened. I knew that He was my salvation. He gave me the strength to get sober and stay sober. I don't know where I would be without Him. Thank you Lord.

I asked Jesus into my heart at the age of 12. And again at 14, and probably 2-3 times after that. I kept doing it because I never felt changed. I lived the Christian life -- believed in Jesus, went to church, prayed every day -- except I wasn't truly saved. Five and a half years ago, after my divorce and while I was living with my fiance, God came for me. He opened my eyes to the time we are living in and gave it to me straight: I was lukewarm. Either I would get red hot, or He would spit me out. There was no church involved. It was just God saying, "I stand at the door and knock." I know Pastor Washer says that applies to churches, but that day God applied it to ME. I opened the door, and He filled me with His Spirit. I give my testimony where I can now, because I believe that there are a lot of deceived people out there who don't even KNOW what they don't know. There is a major difference between decision and regeneration, and I'm living proof.

I have just started watching this, but wish to agree with your comment. Revelation 3.20 is Jesus speaking to the individual "if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him". So it is a promise to each man or woman.

Actually you and pastor Paul are saying same thing. If you were born again and fell into some type of sin, that verse refers to a wayward Christian. You responding to that knock would show that you are alive(regeneration) in the first place as the Bible says the unbeliever is dead in sin and I'm pretty sure no matter how loud you knock, a dead body can't get out of their coffin. Make sense?

I did not grow up in a church. God drew me to myself and despite the church I started going to, God worked on me (outside of the church). The church did exactly what is preached here, but it was God bringing me to the end of myself. Since, I have such a heart for people who grew up in the church and think they are saved but don't show signs of fruit. I have a heart for them because they have never experienced that moment where God did a work and you knew he did. I Thank God because He is who is He. It is so hard to convince someone that maybe was baptized at 10 (my brother) and didn't really know what they were doing and never read the Bible and live opposite of it to convince them that they have not been regenerated. It's incredibly hard for me but not for God. I must keep praying.

Siri Bright Absolutely correct sister. You are 100% correct. There is a verse in scripture that says choose this day who you will serve. Being saved is more than just merely choosing Christ. Sure, we have to choose, but it's useless if it isn't followed by repentance. :) it's totally and entirely about submitting to Christ. We don't find him. He finds us and draws us. We have a choice to either choose him which means we turn from our sins and repent or we choose to reject him. Trusting in the sinners prayer is a way to reject Christ and serve bail. God only chooses the ones under his terms of peace, and we must repent and believe. This is what Paul Washer is talking about.

I can sure use the prayer. At age of 5 I got saved, said prayer and understood. I lived for Jesus for 16 years. Then I went way far astray. I have asked Jesus into my heart since then. In case it wasn't real. I lived for Him for years again. Then stopped going to Church, stop showing fruit of The Spirit. I am still unsure of Salvation because of it. I wish I could ask Pastor Washer himself. I've had so many "conversions." Everytime I hear the gospel truly preached, I feel like I've never truly believed before. I even spent two years reading the Bible for 2 hours every morning and yet, even now, I feel like I'm hearing the true gospel for the first time. And the more it happens, the more I'm convinced I must not be truly saved, because if I was, I'd have understood long ago and would be a far more mature Christian.

There is no other option, choice, or power that is Greater than YHWH. Even though Brother Washer may not have an impressive appearance or approach ... he raises very good points and is a great encouragement ... Much like the Apostle Paul or Moses ... with fear ...or stuttering ... but the Lord is always magnified greater than those with eloquent speech

Thank you brother Paul for this message. Towards the middle of this video, I felt God speaking. I feel I heard God, and felt HE used, when YOU spoke God's message to us, His people. God bless you. I think the beginning of the video, while it appears you were reading from Joel Olsteen's book, it was for information on how he relays the word of God or God's will as he interprets it, I feel to see it might cause confusion. The modern Salvation scheme, used by modern evangelism today, has the Holy Trinity bowing at the almighty feet of mans' free will, admitting that " We have done all we can to save you; won't you allow Us to come in?", and , in fact, reduces the Creator to begging the creation for " allowance " into the creations' heart. The worship of mans' free will will be the cause of myriads of souls being eternally separated from God, and is the epitome of human pride.

As I heard some where else... how much freedom does a dead man have? Dead in our sins. Dry bones. Explain the freedom you have in that. There is a mystery that I can not explain. Somehow we participate. Maybe we participate by working against our so-called free will, I don't know. But I dare not teach anything but the sovereignty of God. He knows how it works.

CS Lewis referred to the mindset he put himself into to write the Screwtape Letters as a place where all is dust and grit and thirst and itch. That has been my experience ever since.

One thing I find out from many Christians is that when God wants to break someone, they argue, they fight, they resist. They blame the devil and people come rushing in to comfort that soul until the hand is removed. They don't want God to disrupt their lives, just to bless them.

49:05 makes you wonder how they can take the word receive and turn it into a mans decision of some sort. Thats why Gods word has more verses for the context. To receive something you have to make a decision ~ A Choice to receive or to reject. God gave us a choice and then told us what choice was the best one. Deu_30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Jos_24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Salvation is a gift its not a predestinated right. Salvation is by grace but we only get it by faith. Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: However each person is given a measure of faith Rom_12:3 according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. So when Jesus says I if I be lifted up will draw all men to me, then how can he do that? He can do that by the fact that everyone has a measure of faith that Christ uses to draw us to Him, when we hear the word of God our faith is increased. We don't get to choose if we have faith or not we all have it what we get to choose is weather or not we will allow our mind to hear the word of God and let that faith grow.. Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So then Grace is received through faith and even that faith is not of our own, but it is a gift. But no one can be saved without making a decision to exercise that faith we have by allowing the drawing power of Christ to bring us into a closer view of Jesus on the cross.

Now, either it's yours or is from Jesus. Hebrews says it clear that it's Jesus who is the Author and the Finisher of our faith so, based on Scripture (Heb 12:2) even the faith we have is from Jesus. Yeah, you choose, but you choose according to YOUR NATURE! and what do you choose? Well, Ephesians 2 says it clearly but you skipped that part And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which *you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air* , the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves *in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind* , and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. Ephesians 2:1‭-‬3 NKJV Yeah you choose, but because you are *DEAD* you can *ONLY CHOOSE* what a dead person can choose: stay dead and play dead (as in go on corrupting yourself in all that flesh corruption brings) *BUT GOD!!* what did God do? Offered you a way? Well yeah, in a sense but *FIRST* He Made You Alive (He brought you from death to life and gave you a New identity by making you alive with Christ). Now, it clearly says (I will not quote it, just read the *WHOLE* Chapter 2 of Ephesians) that from your death He brought you to Life. It doesn't say that He showed you a way so that you may choose to make yourself alive did He? It is God Who in His Love While you we're *dead* gave His only begotten Son as a Propitiation for your sin so that He might gave you His rightousness in order to have a relationship with A Holy God instead of the death penalty that rests upon your head. It Was His initiative not yours! You were just dead and just sat there in corruption, powerless awaiting your total destruction! You cannot make yourself alive nor can choose anything because you have no breath in you. That's the Grace! That's His Love! That's His Salvation!

Stayed and helped the man???????? Wow!!!!!! Cancelled his flight!!!!! My husband hung himself in my closet with a electrical cord ….. I had a 3 year old in the house. The mega church I donated my tithe to every week, my printing company donated full color over the top bulletins, missions, . No one came to my house to pray. No one came with a dish of food. No one came to help with my child. 25 years ---- never met the “senior pastor” the church ……. A very dangerous place. One of 5 horrific “church” experiences.

Dude, what a combo, EZ and Paul on the same convention? I need to learn to share the Gospel like these guys do but if I do it like brother Paul does on his Sermons. Well, that's not how he says you're supposed to do it with non-converts. But I love it. I really need to learn. If I do it like EZ and Ray do on the street, it seems too soft. i've tried both and a combination. I really don't know what I'm doing. I haven't seen a change. Yes I've even read Tactics. Get them to first base. All I've gotten is either rejection, or indifference or silence. It's up to God.

Paul speaks the truth here from more or less the office, gifting and position of a prophet. What we desperately need are evangelists that understand this truth and live it. Ray comfort is one of the few I've run across. Unfortunately at least 90% of church house preachers I've ever heard use some version of the unbiblical Finney formula. Sometimes it makes me wonder if they themselves have ever even been saved. I'd like to know how to reach these preachers with the truth.😢

Wow! Pastor Paul preaches the Word of God like very few others!!! I wish HeartCry had more missionaries in the US. I can't help but think the West is more lost than most. Fiscal abundance, in no way, equates to faith abundance. In fact, Jesus says that it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle, than it is for a rich person to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. God blesses in faith-based and Holy Spirit abundance, not paychecks or lavish lifestyles. The rewards of this world aren't it! Self-sacrifice, like Jesus, is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's the opposite of what the fallen world desires!
