​@@Peter.Piessens this is actually the point where reggae stared evolving into what we know as dancehall today. It started with king Stitt, then U Roy then BIG Youth. Reggae was singing and the dancehall started when when King Stitt started a dub poet like chant which lead to not only one but two genres. The poetry eventully turned into the half pint and Barrington level etc. This lead to kartel type dancehall we hear today. Those who wanted to remain conscious in their expression kept this style Big Youth used and still uses, and today, that genre is called Dub poetry.

I am chanting on sound system from late 1969-70, until I get chance to record my first song in the studio. This is definitely one of my mentor from that time, up until time.
